"Master Hand!" A masked man began as he approached the menacing, disembodied right hand. "The deed has been done."

"Excellent." Master Hand replied, making a gesture that can be compared to a one-hand clap. "You may leave now."

The masked man simply nodded, before he vanished with a smoke bomb.

"Well Master Hand," His secretary began. "That's quite the big risk you just did."

"Pardon me?"

"I mean bringing back all fighters for the next season, not to mention bringing in some… questionable newcomers…"

"I see no harm in doing so." Master Hand spoke. "The way I see it, it'd be a great way for all of them to know each other… until they have to kick each other's ass that is."

"And I'm sure Ridley will comply to that very well…" The secretary sarcastically said.

"You and I have seen what everyone has been capable of right?"

"Yes…?" The secretary wasn't sure how to reply.

"Then Ridley's… antics will be of no problem at all." Master Hand made a gesture similar to a smirk.

Just then, the familiar siren sounded.

"Ah, They're finally here." Master Hand began to float to the door. "Ma'am, be a dear and let them all in would you? I'll just go get my brother…"

"Yes sir." The secretary agreed, before pushing the button, opening the gate.

As every fighter stood by the waiting area to the arena, the familiar voice of Master Hand boomed through the speakers.

"Welcome fighters, both old and new. Welcome back. A new season has come, and all I can say to you all is… Welcome to Super Smash Bros. …"

A slight pause

"Ultimate"

The only sound that accompanied after was the sound of Crazy Hand's signature maniacal laughter.

First off, holy crap that was one hell of a Direct wasn't it?

I want to begin with I have nothing against the new fighters. Inkling was obvious as a newcomer, Daisy was kinda surprising, but it's fine…

And then there's Ridley. Mother FUCKING Ridley!

I have literally no words, but holy damn! His trailer was brutal as sin. R.I.P. Mario and Mega Man… R.I.P.

As for the existing, I honestly thought that the DLC newcomers (Ryu, Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta) were just a one-time deal. I'm glad I was wrong, since I can't wait to play Cloud again!
