She couldn't sleep.

The cool air of the night was like a thousand little pin pricks against her face, and Lisanna had to close her eyes and take a moment to simply breathe to remember that she was home again. She wasn't in Edolas anymore, there was no more need to sleep
lightly in fear of Knightwalker attacking, of anyone attacking. Her former enemies were now on her side.

And…

There was no more need for late-night walks, comforting talks - a stark contrast from the harsh words and petty insults the silverette had once been on the receiving end of mere months before.

She no longer needed to write to the Raijinshuu to keep in contact with them, she could simply walk up to them in the guild hall, but she no longer had anything to say to them. She had no reason to wonder if they were safe, if they were alive. Everything
was alright.

And then, Natsu would no longer be her adorable older brother, a spineless boy with a hidden passionate personality and set morals. Gray would no longer be her shy, kind boy she viewed as a brother with a heart large enough to hold the world and a hopeless
but not really crush on his dream girl. Juvia would no longer understand their myriad of inside jokes. Levy wouldn't be that sharp-tongued and feral rival Lisanna had grown to love.

(Mira would remain the same, though, and that caused Lisanna to wonder if her other Mira would suddenly do a sharp one-eighty into the Mira she had known when she was younger.)

But most of all, Lucy Heartfilia was no Lucy Ashley.

They shared the same golden tresses and russet irises, the same fair skin calloused from hard work and handling their whips. However, there was a clear distinction between Lucy Heartfilia's ever present kindness and clear inexperience and Lucy Ashley's
jaded, brutal, and straightforward ways.

The breeze flittering on from the open window pushed the girl's white strands of hair into her face as she fell backward onto her pillow.

"I miss you, you stupid bimbo," she whispered.

"I hate you."

"I hate you, too."

"Don't leave me, Lisanna."

"Never."

Lisanna pushed a flaxen tress from the other girl's face. She smirked, leaning in closer until they were bumping noses. Lucy grinned mischievously, grabbing the silverette by the waist and pulling her in until their lips brushed.

"I love you, Lucy."

"I love you, too."

Because I love LiLu. :")
