"What the hell?" Pi shouted. The Serpent of Lore's alarm had gone off. The strange thing was, it didn`t even have one…
"Ah, so sorry, Pi dear. That would be us." remarked a spiky blond boy in as much (maybe less than) clothing as Pi. Next to him was another boy, dressed nose to toe in black.
"And you are?" Yata asked, calling down from his platform. "We're in the middle of a crisis."
"I'm known as Kuja here, and this is my companion, Hanza Nukui." he explained, jumping around a bit.
"However, we do have other names. Well, titles, mostly…" Hanza said, trailing off.
"Titles? Wait, are you-" Haseo began, before Kuja raised a hand for silence.
"Ah, the Terror of Death…so nice to meet you at last. I hold the Epitaph 'Guardian of Death', and my Avatar is Zalera. Hanza wields the Epitaph 'Cloud of Darkness' and his Avatar is Zeromus." he announced, his power evident in every word.
"Wo'ah, more Epitaphs? Hey Yata, aren't all the Morgana factors accounted for?" Kuhn asked, stepping out of a warp pad.
"Well Kuhn, wouldn't it be easy for the one who created the Morgana Factors to make more of them?" Kuja said, laughing softly to himself.
"Sir, we don't have time for this. She'll be here any minute…" Hanza said, pulling a data card from his sleeve.
"Ah yes. Yata, run this for me, would you?" Kuja said, throwing the card as if it meant nothing.
"Hey, what the hell's going on here?" Haseo yelled, confused out of his mind. He'd only recently awakened his Avatar, and this just blew his mind. As he approached Kuja, Hanza placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Confused, are we?" He asked casually, as if he dealt with this stuff every day.
"Well, yeah. Who is this guy, anyway? Why's he here now?" He asked, holding back his anger.
"Allow me. Kuja is the creator of the eight Morgana Factors. But they were stolen and sold to CC Corp. Ever since then, he's been making more, gathering followers." he explained, both boys unable to ignore Pi and Kuja yelling back and forth, Yata stone faced and silent.
"Black and white net!' Kuja shouted, drawing a black square in the air. "22nd bridge. 66th crown and cincture. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp arrow, rotating land, cover of night, sea of clouds, pale soldiery. Fill the great circle and charge to the heavens!"
"Well, this should be fun to watch." Kuhn remarked to himself, completely forgotten in the chaos.
"Bakudo 77! Tentei Kura! (Heavenly Charged Sky Net)"
Kuja shouted, sending black lines into the air. "Acquisition…successful!"
In Root Town Mac Anu…
"This sucks! What now, Bordeaux?" The PC Grein asked, stuck like everyone else in The World.
"How the hell should I-" she began, before a voice in her head, as well as every other player's head interrupted them.
Attention all players currently logged into The World. This is the PC Kuja, coming to you from the Serpent of Lore system area. Listen carefully. What I'm about to tell you is the truth.
For the next hour, Kuja explained everything he knew about AIDA's, Avatar's, G.U., everything. Pi started yelling, Kuhn laughed at her, but Haseo just stood there listening to the truth. Maybe he can help Shino… he thought to himself, Kuja's broadcast coming to an end.
"Damn, that takes more out of me every time I use it." He said, rubbing his head in pain.
"Master, one of the others has arrived." Hanza announced, ushering in a very familiar girl.
"Ah yes. I believe we all know this one. Allow me to introduce the Mirage of Deceit, Shino!" Kuja called out, introducing Haseo's long lost friend.
