Based on Season 3, Episode 3 "Bad Day at Black Rock"
Prompt: "She knows what your weakness is – it's me" – Dean to Sam
They were making their way from the Impala to the motel, rabbit's foot still lodged firmly in Sam's pocket, when Dean's earlier words about Ruby came back to haunt him.
Dean had been Sam's weakness for years – the only person he cared about as a child, and the only person he had craved since Jess.
Sure there had been girls, Maddison to name just one. There had even been a few guys – not that Dean knew – and while they dulled it for a while, they were never enough to permanently kill that ache in his soul for his big brother.
The battle between good brother and incestuous demon had been raging inside Sam for years – it was a battle that demon could never win.
Sam's hands wrapped around the rabbit's foot in his pocket – he couldn't lose.
Dean unlocked the door to their room and dumped the duffle at the foot of the first bed.
Sam's thoughts were interrupted when Dean, heading back out to the car, tripped over the bag he had just put down and effectively landed against Sam.
Sam caught his fall and dipped Dean securely in his arms, unable to stop himself from gazing into his big brother's eyes.
"Dude, this is a serious chick flick moment we're having," Dean quipped, and Sam was quick to pull him back onto his feet.
"Well I didn't want you falling on your ass – I spend too much time trying to save it"
"And you have to admit they're a fine pair of glutes, eh Sammy?!" Dean joked with a wink, wiggling said arse and consequently tripping over Sam's feet and crashing them both down onto the floor.
"I thought you were supposed to be lucky at the moment?" Dean complained, squashed somewhere between the carpet and Sam.
"I definitely think I am..." Sam said, challenging Dean with his eyes; that incestuous demon clawing its way to the surface.
Upon Sam's confession, Dean snapped his head up off the ground, covering Sam's lips with his own and using his hands to pull his little brother closer to him.
The kiss was only broken when the need for air became too great.
"How did you know?" Sam asked, dipping his head to trail kisses down Dean's neck.
"Sammy, as soon as you touched that rabbit's foot I knew you weren't the only one about to get lucky..."
