Summary:

The phantom thief must steal a pendant called the "Heart of Kalikele" but because of the power it posses, Daisuke and Dark, Satoshi and Krad, were separated from one another. However, when they destroyed the pendant to return to their respective halves, Dark and Krad found themselves in the body of their rival's half.

Chapter 1: A Big Mistake

Dark took few steps towards the pendant.

"You're late, Dark!" Satoshi said as he revealed himself from the corner of the room.

"Inspector! Nice meeting you again!" Dark said

"Dark, get the pendant as soon as possible! I need to make my homework!" Daisuke cried inside Dark's mind.

"Yah… yah! It's hard to deal with your friend you know!"

"Yah! Satoshi's good alright!" Daisuke agreed.

Satoshi grins as he looked at Dark. "You're having a commotion with Daisuke, huh Dark? Would you mind if I join you?"

"Nah! Daisuke needs to go home early tonight! Just have this 'chat' of ours some other time!" Upon finishing the statement, Dark jumped towards the box and opened it. As he did, the beautiful reddish crystal exposed itself before him. "The heart…" Dark smiled contentedly "What know inspector? I guess this is the end for tonight! Goodbye!" He put the heart inside his pocket and motioned toward the window.

Satoshi smiled sarcastically as he pulled something out of his pocket. "Sorry to disappoint you Dark, but this is the true heart!" Satoshi raised his left hand revealing a reddish crystal that looks exactly as the one that Dark had obtained a while ago.

Dark's eyes registered faint alarm "What the... how come you?"

Satoshi sighed "Well.. I think your mission tonight is a failure!"

Dark laughed, surprised "Failure? Why, no!" he flushed lightly, gathered himself and extended his hands towards Satoshi "Hand over the real heart inspector!" he instructed Satoshi.

"If you want it, come and try..."

Dark eyed the real heart and quiver thoughtfully, he motioned towards the young inspector, grabs his hand, and tried to take the heart by force. Satoshi struggles againts him. As both of their hands touched the heart, a sudden flash of light went out of the heart which causes an explosion. The whole room was filled by monstrous black smoke.

"Wha... What happened?" Daisuke robbed his eyes slowly, "Why am I back to my real self? Dark? Dark? Answer me!" Daisuke looked around but all he can find is 3 shadows from afar. "3 more people? What is happening here?"
