AN: This is a Chlollie drabble based on a song "Daylight" by Maroon 5.
I'd like to thank serafina19 for helping me out with this one! Not only did she correct my grammar and punctuation, but she also made some personal touches which worked for the better. I'm really grateful to her for being my beta.

Oliver was laying on his back with Chloe wrapped tightly in his arms.

It was still early in the morning and he'd just woken up, knowing he'd have to leave soon, but still desperately holding on. Oliver knew from the beginning that that day would come, that the arrangement he had with Chloe would not be this simple. However, it was impossible not to get attached because Chloe Sullivan knew all his secrets and accepted him for who he was. She really was everything he could wish for.

When their 'friends with benefits' arrangement had started, Chloe set the strict rules, the main one being that, ''No one can find out''. She never stayed in his bed until morning. And after the nights spent in the Watchtower, Oliver always had to slip away before she woke up. Chloe was determined to keep them a secret. Not that she even admitted there was a 'them'.

But laying there in her bed, Oliver was staring down at the perfection in his arms, wondering how he didn't see this coming. He was falling for her from the beginning and there was no way out now.

Becoming the Green Arrow, putting all those responsibilities on his shoulders, he embraced his destiny, fully realising that he more than likely would have to be alone. Bringing justice to the world was more important than his personal happiness and he was ready to sacrifice it.

But with Chloe, everything was different. He had a person who he had opened up to, who accepted him with all his flaws, understood him on a very deep level and more importantly had the same way of looking at life. He never wanted to lose that happiness , or the slowly warming feeling of, dare he say it, love.

They were kidding themselves thinking they'd be able to keep things easy. No strings attached? Not when they already had a connection that went deeper than anything he'd ever had in his life.

It was why Oliver dreaded the moment of the sun coming up, because when the daylight came he had to go. He pressed Chloe tighter to his chest, not ready to let go yet. His musings had been interrupted by Chloe stirring awake. He closed his eyes, realising that was time to stop stalling.

And then the most incredible thing happened.

''Stay,'' he heard Chloe mumble while she tightened her grip around his body.

''Please, stay.''

Oliver leaned down and kissed her forehead gently, letting his lips linger a bit longer than necessary.

''Always, Sidekick,'' he smiled softly with a new feeling blossoming in his chest. It appeared that he wasn't the only one in this relationship who needed more.

AN: I know I promised to write a continuation to 'Not so disastrous first date' and I'm glad to say I'm finally working on it!
