Britain's Errands
(An Arthur Kirkland Story)
One cold winter morning Arthur was in his kitchen cleaning up the huge mess he made after attempting to make breakfast. "Ah, all done. Now I just have to run some errands for the day, right Flying Mint Bunny?" "Haha! Yeah, tell me about it. Well, I'd best get going. Take good care of Uni and the others! " he chimed. So out the door he went, and as he was walking, he pulled out a list. "Let's see.. I have to pick up groceries, deliver a parcel to Alfred, stop at the coffee shop because it'll be tea time by then, and Ludwig said he'd teach me how to cook." "I'll pick groceries up later, I'm going to go ahead and give Alfred this package first." With that said, he went on his way until finally, he had made it to Alfred's doorstep. He knocked several times until the door swung open suddenly. "YO, BRITISH DUDE!" Alfred exclaimed. "Damn! Don't scare me like that!" The Brit shouted. "Here's your package." He said as he handed America the box. "DUDE! This is the box loaded with all the scary movies I ordered!" he shouted excitedly. "I'd best head out, I still have a few errands to run, take care." Arthur explained. "See ya, British dude!" Alfred said as he waved goodbye. "Next I'll go get groceries.." Arthur mumbled to himself. He walked up the road and down by the park until finally, he reached the grocery store and walked inside. "Ah let's get this bag of flour and these eggs. Need to make more of mother's famous scones!" he said cheerfully. After collecting all of the groceries he needed, he went on to the check out. "You shut up!" he overheard Mr. Austria yelling at Japan. "Oh, seriously?" the Spaniard asked Greece. "Mmmhmm." Greece replyed. Finally, the huge line began to go smaller, and then Arthur's groceries were purchased. "I thought I'd never get out of there!" the Brit said to himself. "To the coffee shop!" Arthur walked a few blocks over and walked into the coffee shop. He sat down at a table when a waiter walked up to him. "May I take your order sir- Britain!?" a familiar voice exclaimed. "You work here!?" Arthur asked shocked. "Ohonhonhon!~" Francis smirked dirtily. "You frog!" the Brit shouted "I'm going to leave!" "Please don't go! I'll get fired! Ze boss vill sink I scared you out! Zat vould suck!" Francis explained. "Fine.. It's tea time so I'll stay, but if you try anything.. anything at all, I'm leaving!" Arthur warned. "As you wish." Francis chuckled nervously. So Arthur drank his tea quickly and hurried out as fast as he could to get away from Francis. "Now, I did this, and this.. Ah! I still have to go to Ludwig's house." he mumbled to himself. Arthur walked to Ludwig's and hesitantly knocked on the door. Germany opened the door and greeted Britain, "Velcome, please come in. Italy is spending ze day vith Romano because he vould be a distraction.." "Thanks, chap!" Arthur said as he made his way inside. Well, teaching Arthur how to cook was NOT easy. "NO! You are doing zis vrong!" the German boomed. By the time the day was done, there were 7 fires and Germany and Britain were covered in flour. "At least you know how to make cookies now.." Ludwig mumbled. "Thanks for teaching me today. See you for a pint again Friday night?" Arthur asked. "Alvight.. See you then." Ludwig answered. "Okay then. Bye, old chap! the Brit waved as he left. He walked home and it was dark by then. As soon as he got inside he collapsed on the sofa. "Flying Mint Bunny, I'm so glad I'm home." he mumbled. His eyes started getting heavy and finally, he had fallen asleep.
