Amy stood alone. Leaning heavily against the kitchen counter. Rory had long disappeared to bed, as had the sun. With her mind still foggy from events long shut away in the history book, she gazed up into the picturesque night sky - as she had done every night since he left...

The radio hummed softly in the background, almost as replacement company for the girl that still waited every night.

"He who longed for the stars, they would soothe him in this painful world" The voice drifted from the speakers of the radio. Not just from the radio, but echoing around Amy's head like a song frozen on one moment of the track.

"...no one is spared" the voice continued, the steady pulsing of a drum and light riffs of the guitar not reaching Amy's ears as she focused solely on the voice.

"He who longed for the stars, their icy silence...frozen eyes, just frozen, ice in his words" Amy's grip tightened on the counter, her knuckles turning a snowy white with the pressure as the words hit a subconscious chord in her mind.

"Come down" the voice sang...but this time, it was accompanied by Amy's mumbling tone as her gaze stayed piercing the stars, unblinkingly.

"Come down, come down, come down..." was all that could be heard. The words echoing around the room, bouncing off the walls, burrowing deep in the red-head's thoughts.

"Where's the reason? Who's to blame?"

Memories swirled around, threatening to engulf Amy entirely as her lips still murmured "Come down, come down"

As Amy came to her senses, her eyes finally adjusting to focus in on the stars, scouring the sky, peering through galaxies, searching through universes. She let out a long breath. Releasing all of the tension, fear, longing, love, anxiety, heartbreak and indescribable feelings, her knees buckling beneath her fragile body. She slowly sank to the floor, the familiar dark feeling swallowing her last ounces of consciousness as the song sang out it's final few notes;

"Well, my darling love, you left just as unnoticed as you came..."
