"I'm am Fire and life incarnated''-Anonymous

As Scott woke up he had a taste for something sweet. He put his glasses on and went downstairs to the kitchen. There was the last piece of Red Velvet Cake on the Redwood dining table. When he looked at it, It flooded him with many memories of the girl he loved. That beautiful red hair she had, those big pools of fire for eyes. She was that living, breathing light that changed humanity and that living breathing light that changed the world. All those years she helped her friends and family, but never had recognition for it. The fire that she had was going to consume her and her family and friends, that is why she sacrifices herself.

He took his seat with the last piece of Red Velvet cake and tried to remember the last time he saw her. The Redhead added the cream, butter, and sugar together. Then added eggs one at a time and beat them vigorously until each was incorporated, then she mixed in the Vanilla. Scott went down to the kitchen that was all red to him. He saw the Phoenix-like woman, he was astonished how her fiery body could make such a passionate cake. As she divided the batter among three pans and then put them in the oven for twenty minutes, the Phoenix-like women realized she was watched, she looked up and saw the man she loved. Oh how she wished he could see something other than red, she made this cake just for him.

To always remember her, as Scott looked at her and she looked at him it got warmer not just their flesh but the kitchen as a whole. As the cake cooled down the Phoenix-like woman dropped about one cup of icing onto the cake and used a flat spatula, spread the icing evenly. As she was doing this Scott noticed something odd, but couldn't put his finger on it. It was like her skin was literally on fire you could see her veins turning black like coal. Then she removed the second cake from the pan and place the cake flat side down on the top layer. When redhead took the remaining icing it turns blood red, gracefully she cover the top and the sides of the cake. As she sat the now Red Velvet cake down, she looked at Scott and he looked at her. His body became sweaty and his throat became dry, the beautiful redhead ran to him and kiss him passionately. Their lips met and it became a furnace over 1000 degree Celsius. The cake would never cool down because of the heat when she touched him his body burned and so did his intestines. To him it felt good, this was the same girl he met when they were children, the same girl who help him see more then what the world gave. He loved that burning sensation and never want to it to go, her hair turn into fire and her eyes turn black like death. He didn't notice but she was dying not only for him but for everyone else. She was the human sacrifice that will calm the world, that light that shone so brightly but was dying out. He knew she had to go because if she didn't humanity wouldn't be what it is today.

Her last words she whispered were "I love you, my love, my last moments with you were perfect, but I have to go. I will always be the love of your life and the one you associate with death and resurrection. I will leave a piece of myself at the doorstep. The cake that I have made is for you to remember the sweetness of me and remember I'm always the Phoenix. I died. I scattered in a trillion directions. And then started to pull together again, outside the Red Hot Room. But I'm starting to see now. Parts of me... Parts of me never came home.''Then the Phoenix-like creature exploded, Scott sat down with tears flooding his eyes and trying his best to eat the now fiery cake.
