Tears ran down from vivid,

aquamarine eyes,

they streaked her porcelain cheeks,

until finally they reached the edge of her face,

and dropped off,

landing on her beautiful lace gown,

barely seen,

as they landed among the millions of raindrops,

that soaked her to her skin.

Her beautiful, golden, tasseled hair,

flowing like damp silk along the torrents created by the downpour.

She sat shivering,

upon a bench in the middle of an empty park,

the trees swaying in the wind,

her only companions.

Suddenly the drenching stopped.

She stifled a sob,

surprised,

as the rain itself had not ceased.

She looked up,

straight into the most beautiful face she had ever seen;

the face of the one person who warmed her to her very soul just by sight.

"Darien!"
