Canada smiled as he spotted you, seated on a park bench drawing in your sketchbook. He started to walk over to you, but you put the sketchbook in your backpack and started to walk away. He jogged up to you. "H-h-hey, _! C-can I talk to you?" You nodded, smiling. "Sure, Mattie!"
"J-just for a little while, I mean…" He froze. What do I do? …What's the point…
"Uh…w-want to play a word game?"
"Sure!"
The two of you started walking down the road.
"Hmm… l-e. Lelele. Legos!" you said, responding to the word he had given.
"Os? …eh…" He sighed. "Sorry…I'm not very good at word games…"
You giggled and stopped walking. "We're at my house! Thanks for walking with me, Mattie! See ya later!" You unlocked the door and stepped in. "B-Bye, _!" Waving, you shut the door. Canada looked up at the darkening sky. Why's it so hard to talk with her?

You smiled and hummed to yourself as you sketched the playground in front of you. Looking up, you saw Canada walking towards you. You waved. "Hi Mattie!" He sped up and sat down next to you. "Hi! W-what are you drawing?" You looked at the playground before starting on another part of it. "Just the playground." The two of you sat there for a minute, Canada watching you. "Uh, are you hungry? I brought some snacks, if you want."
"Oh, no thanks. Do you have any water, though?" He shook his head. "Sorry, I…..I don't have water…" You nodded. "That's okay." He stared at the sky. I wish she'd take her eyes of her sketchbook, but I have to let her do what she wants to… Gah…. Whenever I try to talk to her my throat gets dry and it's hard to speak… He sighed. What to do… Canada opened his mouth, to say something, but shut it. No good. It's still too hard…

Canada lay on his bed looking up at the ceiling. I want to tell her how I feel…Why's it so hard? He looked out the window to see you walking by on the sidewalk. He dashed out and caught up to you. "H-h-hey!"
"Hey Mattie! Want to walk with me?"
He smiled. "Sure!"
AUGH! What do I do? "Er, want to play rock, paper, scissors?"
"Okay."
You played three rounds, and he lost all of them, and you giggled sheepishly. "I'm sorry, I'm pretty boring…" You shrugged. "It's fine! You're not that boring, anyway." You said, smiling happily. "Uh, hey, do you have any water, I'm kinda thirsty."
"S-sorry, I…I still don't have water…" You nodded.
He stopped, and you stopped. "Uh…..S-see, e-even if it's sudden…it's kinda weird, sorry. Eh, Maybe it's surprising? B-but I want to hear, err…" Whatdoido?
