Sonny x Shikamaru
Dance?
Shikamaru was sleeping up on the school roof when a door slammed.
"What the- Sonny." He said once he realized she closed the door behind her.
"I figured I'd find you up here." She said.
"I just want to sleep!" He shouted.
"And I want to graduate. But I want you to be with me." She said.
"Please." Shikamaru said laying back down.
"Shikamaru. I don't want to go through this alone." Sonny said sitting at his head.
"You won't, you'll have all the rest of those who are graduating with you." He said.
Sonny grunted. "Fine. Guess you really don't care at all about me." She said and walked away.
Shikamaru groaned. "What a drag!" He sat up. "Sonny." He called.
"I know you feel like your alone. But you do know you have everyone by your side." He said.
Sonny turned to him. "Yes. But no family. My mother and father, both dead. Asuma is gone too. All I have is, Ino, Choji, and YOU!" She shouted.
Shikamaru knew she was angry. He knew she was sad. She wasn't happy unless she was with others.
"You know they are here WITH you always." He reminded her.
Sonny nodded. "I know that. But I don't want them. I want you!" She said.
Shikamaru stood up and walked over to her. "Sonny. You know, I'm not always going to be there for you." He said.
"I know. But at least, be with me. Through this." She asked. "Like a dance."
"A dance?" Shikamaru questioned. "You know I hate dancing."
"I said LIKE dancing. Can you stay with me till this whole thing is over?" She asked. Begged.
Shikamaru sighed. "You are such a pain." He said.
"But-"
"But I love you anyway." He smiled. Sonny smiled back. "Thank you." She said.
"Like I'd leave you to go through this alone. I'd be haunted by Asuma's ghost for the rest of my life." He joked.
"Please. You'd love to see him again. As would I." She added. "I miss him." "I do too." He took her hand and held it tight.
"I love you Shikamaru Nara." Sonny smiled.
Shikamaru grinned. "I'm going to regret this." He said to himself. He pulled Sonny close and held her there. "What are you-" He began to move slowly.
"Dancing? Really?" Sonny scoffed.
"Why not. Beats going to class doesn't it?" He said.
Sonny laughed. They stayed up on the roof till the dance was over. And holding hands walked to class.
