Getting to Know You
"Don't you ever want to go home?" Zelda asked Ike. "You have hundreds of friends and allies there. I can't imagine why someone like you would want to stay here during the holiday season."
"I could ask you the same question, Princess. Surely, you don't stay to accompany me."
Zelda only return to that was a blush across her cheeks. "Y-y-you haven't answered my q-question, sir Ike." She stammered.
Ike chuckled a bit. "I'm staying here because the weather conditions are too harsh for me to return to Crimea, my Princess. However, It seems I am in good company." He made a gesture to the other members of Brawl how had decided to stay for the winter, like Samus, Pit, and the Ice Climbers. " You're here as well, which insures that this stay is bound to be a good one. Now tell me, Princess, why have you decided to stay while the Hero of Time himself has gone back to Hyrule? "
Zelda wasn't sure what to say, because she wasn't quite sure herself. "Well, that's because, um...surely Samus would grow lonesome without a friend!" She quickly lied.
Ike looked at the brunette curiously. "Samus has been alone on Christmas since the day Metroid was released. She told me herself. She also stated," He said, leaning over the counter, closer to Zelda. "That she prefers to be alone. What would make this year any different?"
Ike's response was followed by silence.
Ike smiled. "I also stayed for a chance to know you better, my fair Princess."
Zelda blushed again, this time much deeper. "Is that so?"
Ike laughed again. "Indeed."
"Well," Zelda laughed, and stood up from their seat together. "You deserve to have that chance, as much as I deserve a a cup of Hot Chocolate right now. Care to join me?"
Ike stood. "It would be my pleasure."
A/N" Well, um, wow. I've never really wrote any Ike/Zelda before, so forgive me is this stunk. I really hope you liked it, BB!
