The wind bit at Imogen's cheeks as she felt the jerk of the ferris wheel come to a halt. "Don't worry ladies and gentlemen, we'll have this fixed in no time!" Imogen heard the attendant call. She moved her hands up and down her arms, trying to keep warm. "Cold?" She heard Eli ask from where he sat beside her. "Just a bit" Imogen said softly with a slight smile. "C'mere" Eli said as he laid his arm over Imogen's shoulders.
Imogen looked out over the view of the carnival. Everything looked beautiful. The lights blinked and Imogen could hear the screams from those riding the small roller coasters while the smell of cotton candy and fresh popcorn filled the chilly air.
Imogen glanced up at Eli for a moment, his green orbs gazing down at her. "You look really pretty tonight, Im" He said. A blush crept onto Imogen's face and she was left speechless for a moment. "T-t-thanks" She finally managed to get out.
Eli's signature smirk painted itself on his face as the two chatted a bit about the past semester of school. The two laughed just a bit about their week of dating. A couple of awkward minutes of silence passed by before Eli sighed and turned to look down at Imogen. "I can't keep doing this. I know we agreed to be friends.." He trailed off and face forward. "I just can't. I still really like you, Imogen. And I know I probably screwed that up when I spied on you and Fiona. And when I told you to go to hell. Which I didn't mean, by the way. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have let you go. I really shouldn't have. You accepted me and helped me through dark times. You were there for me, Imogen, when no one else was. I just don't think I can keep being-" Eli's words were cut off by Imogen turning Eli's face back to face with her's and pressing her lips to his. Imogen's hands moved to cup his face as the two shared a gentle kiss.
Once they had both pulled away, Imogen rested her forehead against his. "I like you too. I shouldn't have broken up with you. You deserve a lot better, but I'm really happy that you want me." She said softly.
With that, Eli's hand lifted her chin just a bit and placed a passionate kiss on her lips
