Here I lie. I lie in waiting. Waiting for someone to come and find me. Is anyone out there? Does anyone care? Does it matter if I lay here? Does it matter it I don't see morning? Does it matter if I make it home? I'm so tired and weak. I can't go on. I can't find my way. So, here I lie, waiting, waiting. Waiting in the cold of the rain for someone to find me, whether I'm alive or dead.

Ring! Ring!

The annoying high-pitched ring that only his grandfather could pick out called throughout the home. Yugi rushed to pick up, just wanting the awful noise to stop.

"Hello?" Yugi answered into the mouthpiece of the phone.

"Is this Yugi Mutou?" a gruff, mean voice asked.

"Uh, yes, this is he," Yugi replied.

"If Joe's over there, tell him to get his butt in gear and to get home, NOW!!!" the voice told him, and hung up, leaving the monotone note all that Yugi could hear.

/That is strange/ thought Yugi as he hung up the phone.

Who was it?Yami asked.

/I think it was Joey's dad/ Yugi stated. /He said that if Joey were over here, to tell him to get home. But that doesn't make any sense, I saw Joey leave for home three hours ago/

Maybe he made a detourYami suggested.

/Maybe, but he would've told his old man if he were going to do anything/ Yugi countered.

Good pointYami agreed. What if he never made it home, like he was jumped or something?Yami offered after a small pause.

Yugi's violet eyes widened at the thought. What if he was still on the streets?

/Yami, we have to find him!/ Yugi exclaimed as he ran to grab his rain jacket, seeing as how it was raining.

But by the time Yugi would reach Joey, it would be too late.
