Bittersweet
He stayed quiet, trying not to move. He knew that this moment couldn't last long, but he wanted to enjoy it a while longer. Feeling the warm body behind him, he wondered if it was really worth it. But yes, of course it was. If it meant even just a short amount of time together, it was still worth it. He smiled sadly, knowing that the moment his lover thought he was awake, he would leave. After all, they were supposed to be enemies.
They met up before the battle, to say goodbye and share one last kiss. It was bittersweet, making them remember so many other stolen moments. In fourth year, when they first realized they liked each other. In fifth, when they first kissed. Last year, sixth year, when they first spent the night together. Every hidden meeting flashed before their eyes. Silently, they parted, knowing that wichever side won, one of them probably wouldn't be there to see it happen.
They had to carry the responsabilities of adults, but they were still a pair of teenagers.
And even if they knew they couldn't be together in the long term, in those stolen moments they were just two scared kids seeking comfort in each other.
They were the son of a deatheater and a member of the DA.
After the battle, they never saw each other again.
