Notes: Season four, episode "Something Blue"
Willow paced back and forth in her dorm room. She couldn't believe Buffy had just taken off in the middle of her angst-fest about Oz. "Spike's more important than me. I get it," she groused.
Xander didn't think Willow was being entirely fair but he did his best to play referee between the would-be witch and the absent Slayer. "Buffy's got to find out what's up with those commandos. Right now, she needs Spike."
Great. Now Xander was siding with Buffy! "That's stupid. Spike's never gonna tell her anything. He's stringing her and Giles along. Look what he's got now. Free room and board, TV, all the blood he can drink and a hidey-hole from those soldiers. He's got every reason to keep quiet and no reason to blab. So why doesn't she just kill him and put him out of everybody else's misery?"
The irate vampire lunged at the Slayer taunting him. He was tied up and he couldn't even hit her without awful pain. But he couldn't stand having this bitch goad him any longer.
Buffy stumbled back from his charge. Spike couldn't hurt her but she forgot that in a burst of sheer panic. Her hand grabbed one of her stakes and she drove it into his chest without a moment's hesitation.
Giles was truly fed up. His eyesight was inexplicably going, Willow was being irresponsible and he was housing a wanker of a vampire who was currently engaging in another shouting match with his Slayer. From the temporary sanctuary of his bathroom, he yelled, "Could the two of you remain civil for five bloody minutes?" Hearing nothing but profound silence from the living room, he sighed in relief.
"Much better."
