A fic that came to me randomly slight shonen ai but not really(I like shonen ai but cant write it for crap) explanation at the end.

Shinji: KAORU!
Shinji sat up an realised his tape player had put ode to joy on a loop again, why did it always get stuck there?
"Shinji?" Shinji looked up at his good friend Kaworu and hugged him. "oh Kaworu your ok!" Kaworu blinked "Shinji-kun I told you I had to go to the restrooms but Misato sensei caught me in the halls and you know her after hours student clean up policy… I didn't think you would fall asleep waiting." Shinji hurriedly released Kaworu blushing. "S… Sorry I just had the weirdest dream." Shinji placed his tape player in his bag and slung it over his shoulder. "in my dream I was a pilot of this huge robot, I think its called an eva but im not sure how I know you know what dreams are like, and…and you were some sort of angel thing and… I killed you…"Shinji looked at his feet "Well" sighed Kaworu leaning against a nearby tree "Dreams are the door to a person's soul, perhaps in some other life we may have been friends like now." Kaworu smiled "maybe.." shinji smiled back before checking his watch "oh man its been half an hour already Auska's gonna lose it!" Shinji started running with Kaworu right behind, still thinking about that strange dream…
Ok confused well if you haven't seen ep 25 then this explanation contains slightspoilers.

In an alternative reality Shinji Kaworu Auska and Rei are class mates (along with Aida and Koji and ect) their teacher is Misato who loves to put late to leave students on clean up duty. As you have probably guessed Shinji's mother is alive and his father doesn't work in NERV or SEELE. One day shinji is waiting for his friend Kaworu to pick up some stuff he forgot in class. While waiting he falls asleep in the summer afternoon under a tree listening to ode to joy on his tape player.
In his dream he basically experiences Kaoru's (used Kaoru to show a difference in realities) death and all the angsty aftermath that comes with it. Now because in the alternative universe the impact never happened so the characters are understandably not used to seeing this causing (happy) Shinji to panic and, thinking the dream was real, hug Kaworu then blush remembering the dream then at the end the 2 characters rush off to Auska's because they promised her something and because of their lateness fear her wrath.
If you the reader already guessed/knew all that then I just wasted your time!
