Kema Gets The Tablet: The Bully

In the world of SRO, within the city of Inceptum, the world's heroes, the Defenders were lounging around, doing what they wanted in their base of operations. With them was their member Yukinari's Luxuria and friend Kema, at his trainer's feet.

"Hey Kema, wanna fetch the Soul Events Tablet (the equivalent of a newspaper in SRO)?," Yukinari asked. Kema mewed, stood up and walked outside the base. He then saw a tablet laying on the ground and rushed to pick it up. Before he could however, somebody else grabbed it. Kema looked and growled hen he saw who it was: Maroku, a mean bully avatar, whom the Defenders had clashed with on at least several occasions.

"Well lookie here," Maroku said. "I was just on my way to buy a SE tablet and I find a free one sitting right here."

Kema growled, at which Maroku noticed and recognized him.

"Oh, it's the Defenders little furball. Get your own free tablet."

Maroku then took off, with Kema chasing behind him. They ran for a short while through the city, turning corners and running under and over objects.

Maroku then jumped in a hover-taxi. He told the driver, "To the other side of town, and step on it," just as Kema jumped in after him. Maroku then jumped out and trapped Kema inside the taxi just as it drove off. However the taxi drove just a few feet before letting Kema out.

"What the-," Maroku said, shocked. He then saw a street sign that said, To The Other Side Of Town St. and Step On It Blvd. "Well that explains it."

The chase continued, as Maroku climbed up the fire escape of a building, pulling the ladder up with him.

"Can't get me now, kitty," he said as he blew a raspberry at Kema who growled and ran for the front entrance to the building. Maroku meanwhile climbed the fire escape all the way to the roof. He was about to run through the exit, when the burst open and there stood Kema, who had run many flights of stairs up to head him off. Panicking, Maroku turned to run again but found himself 20 stories above the street level, with a growling Kema right behind him. Realizing he was cornered, he's said, "Alright fine, you win, here's the stupid tablet!"

Maroku tossed the tablet in front of Kema who was glad to have it back.

"We'll I'm outta here," Maroku said as he started to head towards the exit. However, Kema jumped in front of him, stopping him. There was no way he was letting this guy of that easy!

"Well what more do you what from me, you furball?," Maruko asked exasperated. Kema just smirked evilly.

Back at the base, Yukinari was still relaxing, when some one handed him the SE tablet.

"Attaboy-," he said as he reached to pet Kema on;y to find himself petting…

"Maroku?!", who was on all fours and forced to bring the paper by Kema.

Kema, who had watched the entire thing, simply smiled and winked at the readers.
