A/N: Sort of going off the scene when they're all leaving Alya Academy if you want a visual.

Yoite drifted back into consciousness, feeling strong arms under him. His head gently bobbed against someone's chest. Yukimi spoke and the chest he was leaning against vibrated in accordance.

He was being carried. He was being a burden. He tried to move, but his limbs were too heavy to lift. His head hurt.

I'm being a bother. Yukimi will drop me. What if I'm heavy. though he knew he wasn't heavy. He barely weighed anything thanks to the kira. His arms were so thin that he was sometimes afraid of breaking them himself.

But as much as he felt he was being a burden, he also felt safe and relaxed. Part of him never wanted to move from these arms. He didn't have to walk. He didn't have to feel things or make decisions. It was like he was asleep, but awake at the same time. Yukimi said something else and Raikou answered. Then they were walking again. Yoite pressed himself further into Yukimi's jacket, smothering himself in the fur lining.

Miharu said something off to the left and Yukimi's voice rumbled a reply. Yoite couldn't make out their words, but the hums of their voices were soothing. They talked back and forth for a moment before falling silent. Yoite wanted to tell them to keep talking, but then he would have to move again. And that was the last thing he wanted right now.

Yukimi stopped walking and Yoite knew they were at the car. A door slammed shut and another opened. Raikou asked about driving and Yukimi yelled at him. He was then shifted out of Yukimi's arms and into the back seat. Yukimi asked him a question, but he didn't answer. Yoite used the little bit of strength he had to fall over and curl up on the back seat. He felt Miharu sit down by his head. Suddenly there was a small hand on his forehead, brushing his hair from his face. He wanted to tell Miharu to stop, but he didn't. Miharu quit on his own, letting his hand rest against the top of Yoite's head. Yoite sighed in content.

This was the only time he'd let himself be a burden... It wouldn't happen again.
