It was some time
In early September
Though you were lazy about it

Do you remember the day when we first met? It was the beginning of September; you were eleven and I was thirteen. We were on our way to school when you asked me to help you look for Neville's lost toad. You made me wait for hours while you tried to get other people involved in the search; I didn't know it then, but now I know that I didn't mind because I was so crazy about you.
So I was late for class
I locked my bike to yours
It wasn't hard to find

One day in my sixth year, your fourth, I was late for class. It was a Care of Magical Creatures class, and we had to use these bikes that we'd gotten from Muggle Studies. I locked my bike right next to yours, it was easy to spot because you had painted these beautiful flowers on it. I guess I was afraid that if you rode away when I wasn't looking, I might not see you roll back in my direction very soon.
