Poem of Gideon

Disclaimer: I don't own the Bible. It is the Lord's book and forever will be His.
Gideon looked up at the stars. Soon the battle would begin, and he would test the strength of God.
Tell me why, I don't understand. Tell me why, or show me your hand. Tell me why because I can't see my way through. What now… should I… do?
Gideon knew God wanted him to defeat the Midianites. Gideon knew His will.
The battle is not ours,
Could he really do it? Gideon knew that God could, but he wasn't so sure that he could. What if he ran in fear?
We look to God above,
But the angel that was sent to him had insisted that God had chosen him, for reasons that Gideon didn't know. Why wouldn't God choose someone stronger than he?
For he will guide us safely through, and guard us with his love.
Gideon looked at the stars again. God had created all of them. Out of nothing. Surely He could bring Gideon through the battle if He could create something so beautiful out of thin air.
And Gideon made a decision in his own self…
I will not be afraid, I will not run and hide,
Gideon knew he could trust God.
For there is nothing I can't face when God is at my side. No, there is nothing I can't face when God is on my side.
And Gideon was ready.
