Chapter one

Eve clutched the books close to her chest, her backpack hanging loosely on her shoulder. It was February 13th, the day before Valentine's day. All around her, couples were kissing, hugging, holding hands, or showing some kind of affection to one another. The best friends that liked each other became boyfriend and girlfriend. That could've been her case... Except her best friend was gay.

" EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEV AAH!" She heard from behind her to see a light brown haired boy with caring hazel eyes dressed in a grey v-neck, brown button up shirt, black skinny jeans, and grey nikes came running to her.

" WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL LLLLL-E! " She exclaimed as she turned around, her white converse making a little squeaking noise.

She was pulled into a very tight embrace. That guy who was hugging her right now? Yeah, his name is Walter Evans but Eve calls him Wall-e. They've been by each others side since the day they met and nothing could change that.

" Didja hear about what the main clique is doing this year? " He asked her as they continued down the hall to the outside lunch area.

" No, I don't... What's going on this time?" She was actually curious since they always did something for themselves on the day before Valentines.

" They're setting up all the single students on a date!" He exclaimed happily.

Now, this was a good thing for him because everyone knew who was catching Wall-E's eye at the moment. It was the new kid... I think his name was Andy Davis. I don't really know, but he's a bit of a loner and well, he's gay too so most people just really avoided him. That's a flaw in everyone. If they weren't the same or somewhat the same, they're avoided. She's surprised that Andy hasn't joined Wall-E, Moe, and her yet.

Speaking of Moe, where was that little boy? Probably absent again. They opened the door to the outside lunch area and the two best friends were pulled in opposite directions. Eve threw Wall-E a worried look as her pastel blue button up shirt was kind of sliding off her shoulder.

" Uh... Where are we going?" She asked the person who was pulling her along. Looking up, she realized who it was that was pulling her.

" We're taking you to your valentine!" Aurora Easton said with a smile.

" B-but why?" Eve asked. " I don't want one!"

" Everyone does! Just come on! We're almost there."

With a sigh, Eve let herself be led to whoever was her forced valentine.

" Wait here and he'll come to you. " Aurora said as she sat her down at an empty table before walking away. Letting out a sigh, Eve fixed the pastel blue button up shirt so it was perfectly over her white v-neck and she dusted off her black shorts when she heard a voice behind her.

" Uh.. Hi Eve. I'm Max Goof and it turns out I'm your valentine this year. I apologize in advanced. "
