Winter's POV

The sun was so bright. I laid on the soft grass, which tickled me mercilessly. A smile stretched across my face. I loved the sun, it just amazed me. It lit up the entire solar system. It allowed for everyone to exist. I felt its heat exuding onto my skin. Without the sun I wouldn't have been able to see Jacin. My Jacin.

Underneath Luna's dome, the temperature was controlled. I had never gotten to lay beneath the sun's rays and soak up its wonders. I felt warm and cozy on that sunny day on Earth. It was almost as if the world was giving a giant hug, much like Jacin wrapping his strong arms around me. A smile crept back onto my lips at the thought of Jacin's loving caress.

I turned my head to look at Jacin, who was sitting on a bench a few feet away, looking as stoic as ever. When I met his eyes, he held my gaze and his wall shattered into a million pieces. I loved it when he did that. When he looked at me without the fear of being caught by Levana. Without the fear of revealing any of his feelings for me. The radiant sun shone through his golden hair, making it so his hair was glowing. He looked like an angel with a glorious halo hovering above his head. It's like Jacin was my very own personal sun. And I knew I was deeply in the love with sun.

Jacin's POV

The sun was so bright. I sat on a cold, uncomfortable, stone bench, which showed no mercy; my behind was already going numb. I grimaced. The sun's rays beat down on me, and I was already starting to sweat through my uniform. The light was blinding.

Princess Winter and I were at the Eastern Commonwealth palace, visiting Emperor Kai and Empress Cinder for the week. The palace was a bountiful place full of endless possibilities. Winter and I could've been doing just about anything right now, but she insisted we "soak up the sun". I begrudgingly followed her to the palace gardens. It's not like I could've say no to Winter. I swear, her smile holds infinite power.

I looked down at her, laying peacefully in the bug-ridden grass with her eyes shut. A soft smile played across her beautiful lips. I wondered what she was thinking about. What was making her smile the smile I loved so dearly, the smile that lit up her entire face?

Right after that thought flashed across my mind, her head turned to the side and she looked at me. I caught her gaze and stared into her deep, alluring eyes. Her eyes were like black holes, once you looked into them, you became entrapped in her endless beauty. She was just so beautiful. I'd thought it a millions times, ever since the first time I laid my eyes on her. Only recently had I been able to act upon those thoughts and feeling I buried deep within me, and I couldn't have been happier.

The sun was good for one thing, and one thing only. It made Winter happy. Laying the the grass, she looked like an angel. Her dress flowed across the ground like water and her hair was splayed in a dark halo around her head. The sunlight cast a glow across her body, and her skin looked heavenly. She was perfect. Who needs the sun when you're in love with the brightest star in the universe?
