Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy Heartfilia.
The blonde kept repeating those words in her mind. Lucy Heartfilia had a certain ring to it. A ring that she had grown accustomed to and, if she was completely honest, a sudden alternative to that name would most definitely signal a change. Now here Lucy was, contemplating the change her name would undergo.
Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy Heartfilia.
It wasn't like the new change would really be drastic. Oh who was she kidding, it would be a game changer without a doubt. Her friends kept gushing about having a new full name and it really did sound like a fairy tale to have the new one, but she also felt like she would be throwing her old heritage away for a new one. Not that she had a problem with the one she would get, but Lucy still wanted to be the daughter of Jude and Layla Heartfilia. She wanted to be the Heartfilia that realized that she had a talent for celestial spirit magic. The Lucy Heartfilia that first joined Fairy Tail.
Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy Heartfilia. Lucy Heartfilia.
Maybe she was just thinking too much. After all, with this new name she could make more memories. The moment she would change it, she could be that Lucy with new 'firsts'. Still, she'd have hiccups as a first. For sure she would write her, then, 'old' name by habit, possibly even introduce herself by the wrong name at times. Though it would take her some time, Lucy knew that it would become natural. But right now? Maybe if she just repeated the new name that she would get tomorrow; it wouldn't sound so weird anymore.
Lucy Dragneel. Lucy Dragneel. Lucy Dragneel.
It still sounded weird (apart from the butterflies in her stomach), but Lucy could feel the ring to it. She knew she would get used to it and time had agreed with her.
Hello *Awkwardly strolls in* and if it was not obvious, I am on a continued Hiatus. I honestly didn't know what to say but I will explain the progress of this story. I was bored and (ALSO I HAD SO MANY NALU IDEAS YOU WOULDN'T EVEN KNOW, BUT NO MOTIVATION) decided to write something since the internet was not connected for whatever reason. I started typing but my motivation didn't go in. It felt like work. Slowly but surely, I got into the groove (Surprised me) and finished this short drabble. Long story short, I view fanfiction as work, until I get into it. I don't know when I'll be back. I sorta lose interest in my stories and after seeing them, I feel like I could be doing a much better work. I don't know if I should discontinue (Because I HATE that, it's happened to me) though I don't want to. I might consider rewriting. Again, apologies.
