Not what I had in mind

This is a story in which a person has been reborn into the Naruto Universe but it not reborn into a time period in which the person thought it was.

I've been having writer's block lately along being very lazy so I haven't been able to post the next chapter for 'All Seeing' yet, however I came up with this idea and just wanted to post it. It isn't very long but that's how I wanted it.

I had been reborn in the Naruto Universe, now I could fix this broken world with the information I had gained from the real world. I grew up in this world preparing for it, becoming strong and practicing with my charka. All I had to do was wait for that day in which I joined the academy, and the process of fixing this world would begin.

The five years of waiting since my birth in this world had finally paid off and my parents were sending me off to the ninja Academy. My parents didn't look like anyone from the Naruto series but for some reason they looked familiar, however I could think on that later for I had more important things to do.

When I attended the enrolment ceremony for my class, they had announced that the Hokage would be making a speech at the end. I wanted for it, excited to see what time period I was in so that I could make plans on it. I had lived on the outskirts of the village so I hadn't been able to see the Hokage Monument.

I had been expecting the third to show up given how peaceful the village was but the person who came up had utterly surprised me. This was not at all who I expected and now all my plans fell to ruins, with this new Hokage.

Thoughts went through my head as for what I could do now, as there was nothing I could do now, for there was no information on this generation. I could not be some big piece on the chessboard, I could not be that hero that saved the world from the advancing destruction of Madara Uchiha's plan with Obito at its helm. I had nothing and I was nothing in this world just like I had been in the previous one.

This was the next generation after the Fourth War.

I would really like to see if anyone could think of a self insert fiction that would be a next generation fan fiction, for they couldn't stick with the plot of Naruto and revolve around that so it would force the writer to make their own plot and new characters, thus a lot more work. Also as a bonus I would like to see just who was coupled after the end of the war and who died/survived it.
