The Ghost of the Past
Avett Velo was a girl who had no idea how to control her powers which had been given to her by her father. She remembered that day like it was yesterday she was only 3 when her father took her away from her mother and had her mom killed and locked her away for 14 years she never saw the sun and never got to leave her cell. All of this happened in Sokovia in an old stone castle,the same place where the Maximoff twins were held she saw them come in and at that time she had her powers. She was strong she could summon pure energy or suck electricity straight out of a power source. Then the day came when she could go outside for the first time in 14 years and that was when the twins had been sent out to deal with the avengers the power had been disabled unlocking her cell. She pushed open the door and stepped out ravaged around for a pair of actual clothes, not a jumpsuit, and came up with a knee length white dress and light brown leather jacket. She grabbed a pair of white tennis shoes and went to find the stair case. She found one that led out to a flat stretch of land only broken by a few trees and overjoyed to be able to be outside she started to run.
Avett now sat in the same room as the avengers in New York City. She was under interrogation because she was thought to have caused a school building to explode. And if she was being honest she had it was an accident but it had happened and she had been the main suspect. She had been brought to the Avengers tower to be interrogated and so far the odds were not in her favor. "What is your name, age, and how did you get to the U.S.?" asked a man with blue eyes and blonde hair swept to one side. "My name is Avett Velo I am 17 years old and I got to the U.S. by boat." Next to speak was another man who Avett knew to be Tony Stark or more commonly known as Tony Stark "Why did you come to the U.S.,where did you come from and how did you burn down that school?" She replied without any hesitation "I came to the U.S. to escape as to where I came from well let us just say that it was ...the bomb. I can not tell you how that school came down it's classified" Her training kicked in and she would not be able to say anything else. "What do you mean it's classified?"asked Tony. A girl who had been standing in the back stepped forward and Avett knew who she was instantly it was not to hard when you saw her a year ago. It was Wanda Maximoff one of the twins that was experimented on and if Avett was being honest she was scared of her. Wanda raised her hands and a scarlet light crept from her fingertips and took Avett to her darkest memories,ones she wanted to forget.
She was back at the stone castle,back in her cell away from the sun and the was still very young and in her cell she had a small bed and that was it she was cowered in a corner trying to make herself as small as possible. The door opened and her father stepped in her face was tear streaked and blotchy but when she saw her father a look of pure terror replaced the tears. Two armed guards were behind him and they came in and grabbed her by the arms dragging her to an operating room where they strapped her to a table. Her father then came in and grabbed a syringe filled with a clear liquid in it he injects it into her arm and says "This will not hurt one bit." And with that her world goes black and she is plunged into darkness for 14 years.
