(A.N./ I don't own Star Wars or Matthew Stover's clever writing style; I just thought it would be interesting to do this and flesh the pre-Sith Anakin the way I see him :) )

This is how it feels to live, for now:

The stars seem to wink at you from the sky and this sends a warmth through you. A warmth that cannot be expressed through words. A feeling that alleviates your indecision and tumbling thoughts. A feeling that clears your mind of everything.

So you forget that there are wars to be fought, with sabers, words, and bullets of belief. Forget that the road before you is foggy with your uncertainty, doubt, and hesitation. Forget your fears; they aren't even tangible things right now.

At this very moment, this is how life is: you are safe, sound, and surrounded by love inside and outside. And you give birth to a few star crystals of your own. Because you are on your way-

-On your way to whatever greatness there is. And what you have done is just the beginning. Already, you are dreaming of another place, another time, of what you will achieve. It's like you are peering through stardust to divine the future you know will come true.

You, for this infinite moment of time, feel free.

And while the stars still twinkle and wink down at you, you decide to wink back.

For now.
