I just saw Transformers: Dark of the Moon yesterday in Imax 3D and it was an amazing experience. This short little tidbit is a result of my favorite part in the movie, and it's an alternate ending to the particular scene. So warnings to you if you don't want to read a spoiler, this fic has plenty. Yeah, this might be crap. haha!

I do not own Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Yanking Carly along by the wrist, Sam raced through the demolished streets, hurdling over chunks of charred buildings and destroyed cars, making his way to the center of the action, where Bumblebee and another autobot were surrounded by the enemy. Sam's eye caught an overturned white car, a very convenient place to take cover as he gazed up at the giant metal creatures, one of them pushing the older autobot to the ground. The two humans ducked into the smashed vehicle, watching in horror as one of the decepticons destroyed Bumblebee's friend.

"No...no no no..." Sam's dirty face was beginning to heat up, watching as his beloved yellow friend was shoved into the same spot the other autobot had been murdered in, Soundwave forcing Bumblebee to fall on top of the metallic corpse. Sam gripped the weapon he had clasped around his forearm, readying himself to strike, but Carly pulled him backwards, causing him to glance back at her. "There's nothing you can do now, don't try..."

As Bumblebee was pulled onto his knees, he leaned over, his perfect eyesight catching a glimpse of Sam and Carly tucked away in the overturned car. The autobot's expression suddenly changed, feeling a very giant, very lethal object pushing against the back of his head. Soundwave smirked.

Sam would never forget that moment; the image burned into his mind for eternity. As his dear friend hunched over, glowing blue eyes widening with anticipation and horror, Sam swore he had never seen Bumblebee look more natural...more human. Tears began to overflow and slide down the man's dirt covered face, feeling the clutch of Carly's fingers twisting into his tattered shirt as she knelled behind him.

The yellow robot focused his vision on his human companion, the metallic brow line in Bumblebee's forehead dipping as he took in the worried expression on Sam's face. Suddenly, the autobot's makeshift voice box turned on, a white noise playing for a few moments before he spoke. "I'll never forget, you, Sam."

The sentence came out in the blocky, pieced together way it always had, and Sam's heart leapt to his tightening throat, eyes growing wide as Soundwave's weapon began to light up, a whirring noise being generated from it.

"BUMBLEBEE!"

"Sam, no!" Carly's fingers gripped at her boyfriend's shirt, stopping him from leaping out and trying to prevent the inevitable. Sam's eyes were suddenly being lit up orange with the flare from a fiery blast, his entire body trembling as he watched Bumblebee's head pang across the cracked pavement and roll to the side, followed by a hearty laugh from the surrounding decepticons.

Heart racing and hands shaking, Sam stared as his best friend's lifeless body thudded to the asphalt, sparks flying and electricity jolting from the frayed wires and machinery that were now exposed in Bumblebee's open neck hole. As everything else in the world began to fade around him, all Sam could see was that one moment, where Bumblebee had looked closest to human as a autobot could get. The expression of pure helplessness...

Sam would never forget that moment.
