The Night
The stars fill the skies,
As the sunlight dies.
The moon shines like a flashlight,
Yet there is still hardly sight.
The wind pushes the water,
As the night grows longer.
The water is like a heater,
As I dive in deeper.
Crickets are the only sound,
Until a clump of dirt falls down.
The wind is an icy gust,
I start to take cover, I must, I must.
The moon starts to go down,
As the frogs quickly make no sound.
The sun begins to arise from the trees,
Then soon comes the cold, morning, breeze.
I had to do a poem about what I like or a place I like for my English class, so I did the night. Hope you enjoyed it. More to come probably. I had to do 2 similes and a metaphor in it so see if you can find it! Review?(:
