"Phantomhive?" McMillan whispered into the dark.
There was the sound of Ciel turning over in his sheets. "Yes McMillan?" He whispered back.
"I just wanted to know if you were still awake." He admitted and before long, he had snuck into Ciel's bed, lying beside him. "I can't get any sleep." He said once he was comfortable.
Ciel had almost gotten to sleep, so he was a little annoyed at McMillan for disturbing him. It was hard to stay mad at him for too long though. "Why is that?" Ciel asked. There was a long pause and he never got an answer to his question.
"Do you ever get lonely being in a big manor house all by yourself?" McMillan asked, hoping he wasn't being insensitive.
Of course he was lonely, even with Sebastian constantly by his side. "It's only natural that I'd be lonely." He responded. That got him thinking though; the few weeks he'd been at Weston with McMillan had been a blast. As much as he wanted to go home, take a warm bath and relax, he didn't want to leave his only true friend behind. "McMillan?"
"Yes Phantomhive?" He sounded a little too excited. Ciel wondered if McMillan had been planning this.
"Seeing as I'm leaving tomorrow," He began. It was odd, his heart was racing and his palms were getting sweaty. "Would you like to come with me?" He heard McMillan take in a deep breath.
"I'd love to!" You could almost see his beaming smile glow in the dark. Ciel quickly shushed him, he didn't want the other students to wake up and see them together, and God only knows what sort of rumours would spread.
McMillan covered his mouth. "Sorry." He whispered and Ciel replied with
"it's okay." Unconsciously, he smiled at how adorable he was.
This was originally going to be just a one-shot but I think it'll work better with more chapters.
I hope you like my new story so far and will keep reading along!
