-Week 3, Day 3-
We start our story in the peaceful Lovebloom City, a city located just north from Neo-City. Currently, the DAN Army is having a missions in said city, looking around for some Emotionless or any other suspicious activities. But so far, they found none, as the city is pretty much low when comes to crime or had any at all.
Except for one...
"A vase has been stolen from an art museum?" Mandy Rosal asked indecorously.
The entire DAN Army are currently inside their RV en route towards the art museum.
"Yes! A vase was stolen from the art museum!" Dan Mandel yelled, "Do I really need to repeat myself?!" he asked in annoyance.
"Dan... I know I said before that I won't doubt you again but what does a stolen vase had to do with our mission?" Elise Pearson asked indecorously.
"Hey! We've done nothing ever since coming in this fucking "Love" city...'' Dan said with a finger quote, "... so far, the only thing we did is walk and walk, so we can look and look, so we can walk!" he stated in annoyance.
"Dan's got a point." Ninja Dave said in agreement, "Plus it is stated in our mission that we should look around for any suspicious activities." he pointed out.
Elise thought about it, "Well... what we have to loose." she replied, "But are we allowed to do our own investigation, I'm pretty sure that this city's police department is already conducting their investigation.'' she stated.
"No worries... Dan already got permission." Kafuu reassured.
"Really?" Mandy asked in surprise.
"Yeah... met up the police chief earlier this morning, and she agreed." Dan explained, "I was actually going to threaten her but she was really nice, so I decided to be nice with her." he said with a blank look.
"Huh? That's odd." Elise mused.
"So, what are we gonna do once we arrived in the museum?" Chris Pearson asked while keeping his eyes on the road as he drives.
"We investigate of course!" Dan shouted, "Geez! Use your brains for once, monkey face!" he exclaimed.
"Still... I quite find it baffling that someone would commit a crime in this city.'' Brick McArthur said.
"Yeah... this city barely had crimes in it compare to our city and the others." Denton Gibson replied in agreement.
"Whatever is it, we need to figure this out." Mandy stated.
"Trixie sees the art museum." Trixie Lulamoon pointed out.
The RV then stopped in front of the art museum as each members got down the vehicle one by one, they then entered the large building while looking around.
"Sugoi! This place is pretty!" Honne Nohotoke exclaimed in awe.
Kafuu then noticed something, "Hey Denton, doesn't this statue kinda looks like you?!" he pointed out at statue, which oddly enough, looks like Denton.
"Holy shit! It does look like me!" Denton said in shock.
"Focus, you dimwits! Focus!" Dan shouted, "We need to start the investigation, so we can capture, torture, stuff the vase thief in a bag and throw it in the gulf of Mexico!" he elaborated.
Chris cringed at the thought, "Ugh... too much information, Dan...'' he grumbled.
"I think we should start in that place." Mandy suggested pointing at the painting section with a few large vase displayed. There was also a police line taped at one entrance part along with a person inside, "There's also a policewoman inside, maybe we should go talk to her first." she added.
"A very decent suggestion." Dan replied, "Considering." he added getting an eye roll from Mandy.
The team then walks towards the painting section as the policewoman noticed them, "Umm... only authorized persons can enter this area, please turn back immediately." she said politely.
"Actually, we're here to help." Elise replied, "You see, we're from the Heroes Coalition of Neo-City, we heard a vase was stolen in this city museum, so we decided to offer our help." Elise explained, "Plus, we got permission from your boss.'' she added.
"Heroes Coalition... I see." the policewoman mused, "Well then, it's a privilege." she said.
"Yeah... yeah... kindly move aside, we need to start our investigation, so we can capture, torture, stuff the vase thief in a bag and throw it in the gulf of Mexico!" Dan stated with a blank look.
The policewoman grimaced of what he just said, "Ugh... do you really need to speak that way?" she asked.
"Sorry about. Dan is... a jerk." Ninja Dave replied bluntly.
The policewoman then looks at Dan and noticed the jerk written on his shirt, "I see..." she said, "Anyway... my name is Chrys." she introduced herself.
Lovebloom City Policewoman
Chrys
Chrys is slim young female adult. She has a pale complexion, a shoulder-length blue hair tied in a ponytail, and has pink, tareme eyes. She is currently wearing a dark-blue police uniform with black necktie, a police hat and black leather shoes. She also wears glasses.
-10:30 AM, Lovebloom City Art Museum-
Everyone them introduced themselves with Chris introducing Dan. Before everyone could start an conversation, the museum's doors burst open catching everyone in surprise as a strange woman came inside... in a pose and a rose in her mouth.
"Love is... the world's most powerful force..." the strange woman spoke, "It can drive people mad... make them do terrible things and when they do... " she said.
"Is that a rose in her mouth?" Ninja Dave asked in disbelief.
The strange woman then struck another pose, "I, Romance Detective, vow to carry out Romantic Justice!" she declared.
Romance Detective
Romance Detective is a tall young female adult. She had as pale complexion, a long dark hair and her eyes hidden by her sunglasses. She is currently wearing a light-brown trench coat over a gray tank top, dark denim shorts and high-heel boots. She also wears a light-brown Fedora and black gloves, and the most noticeable thing from her, is the rose in her mouth.
Everyone stares at her weird as Denton leans towards Brick, "Does anyone know what the hell is this chick talking about?" he asked in confusion
Brick shrugged, "I'm confused as you are.'' he replied.
Chrys then spoke, "Umm... excuse me, ma'am, this is a crime scene. No civilians are allowed here." she said.
"Don't worry, I'm a detective." Romance Detective claimed.
"Really? You're more like a shady person rather than a detective.'' Dan pointed out.
"Detective? In that case, may I see your badge?'' Chrys asked.
"This rose... should be proof enough." Romance Detective replied.
"I'm going to need to see your badge." Chrys insisted.
"Badges are superficial... they are unnecessary. I solve crimes... in passion..." Romance Detective said cooly.
Elise facefaulted, "What in the world are you talking about? Chrys just wants to see your badge." she exclaimed.
"I do?" Chris asked in surprise.
"Not you! Chrys! The policewoman!" Trixie exclaimed.
"W... well... I think you should leave this one to the police and the Heroes Coalition." Chrys stated.
Then another woman came inside and approaches them, "Is there a problem, Chrys? I need you gathering evide-" she tried to say only to recognize the strange woman, "Oh, if it isn't the one and only Romance Detective!" she said with a smile, "When did you get here?" she asked.
"You... you know this woman, Chief?" Chrys asked.
Lovebloom City Police Chief
Heather
Heather is a petite and robust, young female adult. She has a dark complexion, a short brown hair and has brown eyes. She is currently wearing a dark police uniform black trousers, a police hat and black leather shoes. She is also wears glasses.
"Of course! She's got quite a reputation here around here! Plus, we went to high school together!" Heather explained.
"Okay... how many people here are high school graduates?" Dan asked as he, Chris, Elise, Mandy, Brick, Ninja Dave, and oddly enough, Chrys, Heather and the Romance Detective raised there hands up, "Though so." he said.
"What does that had to do with anything?!" Trixie asked indecorously.
'"I had no idea!" Chrys exclaimed, "She was trying to enter the crime scene without a badge so we thought..." she said.
"Don't worry about it, you're still new." Heather reassured, "Now, what can I do for you, detective?" she asked.
"I've come to solve this case of love!" Romance Detective claimed.
"What's up with her and love?" Denton asked indecorously.
"Love, huh? Then Chrys, why don't you help her out?'' Heather suggested.
"Huh?" Chrys said in shock.
"You heard me. I'm assigning you to be her partner for this case, effective immediately." Heather explained, "Plus you got this guys from the Heroes Coalition to help you out!" she stated.
"Though you forgot about us." Dan grumbled.
"Huh?!" Chrys said still in shock.
"Oh God... we're about to learn here some tips about love." Denton grumbled sarcastically.
"Excellent! You are now... Romance Cop!" Romance Detective declared as the rest burst out in laughter.
Chrys' face flustered, "W-wait! You can't just change my title!" she squawked.
"Come... my subordinates." Romance Detective said.
"Did she just include us?" Kafuu asked in confusion despite the creepy smile on his face.
"Where are we going?" Chrys asked.
"To investigate!" Romance Detective declared.
"But we're already at the crime scene!'' Chrys pointed out, "Chief, are you sure about this?" she asked.
"You have your orders... Romance Cop." Heather said with a grin, making the rest burst into laughter again.
"Ch-Chief?!" Chrys squawked.
"Hurry up and brief her along with everyone with the case. I'm with all of your combined efforts will bring back that vase in no time. I'm counting on you!" Heather stated as she walks away leaving them all alone.
"B-But, I mean... just like that?!" Chrys blabbered in disbelief.
Mandy placed a hand on her shoulders, "I know the feelings, I know the feeling." she said with an understanding face.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Dan demanded.
Chrys let's out a sigh, "Guess if the Chief trusts her... we might as well... but..." she thought.
"Right. One more thing." Romance Detective said as she attached a rose to Chry's pocket.
"Ah! What's this rose for?" Chrys asked.
"It comes with the title." Romance Detective replied.
"Kinda like Dan's t-shirt." Denton quipped.
"Hey, I heard that! But I ain't denying it." Dan admitted.
"O-oh... okay...'' Chrys replied with an unsure look.
"Now then. The vase was stolen right?" Romance Detective asked.
"Yes! We said it many times before! God! Try and listen for once, Jesus Christ!" Dan exclaimed in annoyance.
"It's one-of-a-kind vase." Chrys said, "It was taken around 10 pm last night. The thief made it past all of the museum's security measures, but for some reason, the vase was the only one stolen." she explained.
"What's the thief gonna do with that vase? Use it to drink wine." Trixie stated indecorously.
"I drink beer with a vase once." Denton quipped.
"Seriously?" Brick asked in disbelief.
"Those are the facts so far, if you guys like me to explain things further, go ahead and ask away." Chrys suggested.
"Well then... let's get all the information we need first before we do anything." Elise stated.
"Agree." Romance Detective said in agreement, "Are there any suspects?" she asked.
"Not yet. But the thief did leave one thing behind. We think it's supposed to be a calling card, but..." Chrys trailed.
"But..." Romance Detective said.
"It doesn't have a phone number?" Chris stated.
"Well... see for yourself." Chrys said a she presented a paper with the words 'Romanse Theif' written in pink crayon along with a drawing of a heart.
Everyone stares at it with a blank look.
"By the looks of it, our culprit might be a grade schooler." Chrys pointed out.
"No kidding, the paper is written in crayons and the spelling are wrong." Mandy stated.
"I say it's Caboose but since he's not here right now, so he's out." Dan said with a blank look.
"Where do you even get that conclusion?" Ninja Dave asked with a raised eyebrow.
"We can't assume that. It might be a trick." Romance Detective pointed out.
"Not that I was serious in the first place but like Mandy pointed out, the name was written in crayons and the words are misspelled." she said, "Really, what else is there for us to gather?" she asked.
"Something bigger might be at play. Bigger than us. Bigger than this city.'' Romance Detective stated, "Don't trust anything, Romance Cop and friends. This is the work of my adversary, after all..." she said.
"Yeah... Trixie sticking with the grade schooler." Trixie quipped.
"Adversary? Is there some kind of ongoing rivalry between you and this thief?'' Chrys asked.
"No. This is the first time I've heard of them." Romance Detective admitted, "However, by using the word romance in their title, clearly they mean to challenge me. A challenge I'll gladly take...'' she said.
"Now you're the one making assumptions." Chrys replied.
"She gets work up for nothing." Kafuu said with a casual smile.
"Now... tell me more about the vase." Romance Detective said.
"It was donated to the museum sometime lat week by a local antique collector, the artist is unknown." Chrys replied as she shows a photo of a pink jar with a heart symbol, "This is what it looks like." she said, "It isn't particularly expensive compared to the rest of the museum's collections, so we don't think that thief intends on selling it..." she explained.
"The design is beautiful." Romance Detective commented.
"You like it? The color is nice, but I think the heart is a little much. I don't know why anyone would steal something so gaudy." Chrys stated.
"Too bedazzled if you ask me." Dan quipped.
"Everybody is a critic." Ninja Dave grumbled.
"Well I like it!" Honne chirped.
"It would make... a nice centerpiece..." Romance Detective muttered.
"Did we... Did we hurt her feelings?'' Chrys thought in concern while the rest remains oblivious.
"Was there anything with the security cameras?" Elise asked.
"No. A few of them were tampered with, but there isn't anything useful we can gather from the footage. You would think a place like this would have a better security system, right?" Chrys explained.
"It's unfortunate but it's understandable. This city's crime rate is very low." Romance Detective admitted.
"So they didn't expect something like this would ever happen." Chrys pointed out.
"Seems like it." Brick said.
"Securities are useless anyway." Dan said bluntly.
Romance Detective thought deeply, "Only stealing a single vase... what kind of motive this thief posses..." she said.
"If he or she had anything at all." Mandy quipped.
"Well, that's everything I know. We've been investigating all morning, but there aren't a lot of clues to be found... this thief is really good." Chrys stated.
"A worthy adversary indeed..." Romance Detective mused.
"This detective is... definitely odd... so does the rest of the guys... but I'm glad that they're at least taking the job seriously." Chrys thought, "Umm... hey... before I forget. I'm sorry about earlier, I just transferred to this city, so I hadn't heard anything about you." she said apologetically.
"Yeah... we're sorry too, we and the gang had no knowledge about the other cities." Elise said.
"No, don't apologize. I must work harder to be known worldwide, that way... such a thing would never happen again." Romance Detective declared.
"Right... well, good luck with that." Chrys replied.
"You're gonna need it." Denton quipped.
"Anyway... I think it's about time we take a break. There's a cafe across the street - would you all care to join me for lunch?" Chrys suggested.
"A group lunch date? I accept!" Romance Detective accepted.
Chrys' face, once again flustered, "I-I didn't mean like a date or anything? I just thought you might be hungry... a-anyway! Let's go!" she stammered.
And with that, everyone left the museum whem Honne spoke, "If this were actually a group lunch date, I'm taking Dan!" she admitted.
Everyone, sans Dan, turns to her with disturbed looks.
