Another terrific story from guestsurprise, who owns Preza and Vamps. Biena belongs to newbienovelistRD. Ben 10 belongs to Cartoon Network and Man of Action. Goldie belongs to me. :)

A Broken Friendship?

For the past few months, the girls have been going back and forth and helping Preza through her difficult time. It was great to be among people and friends that cared for her. As thanks, Preza planned to give them both special stories. But she wanted it to be a surprise! So she waited until Biena went to grab a snack and for Goldie to go to the restroom. When they left, she jumped up and began placing the stories in their purses. As Biena was coming back, she got a glimpse of Preza quickly putting her purse down and sitting down again, not knowing Biena saw her. Biena was about to approach her when the college know-it-all, Bonnie, came over.

"I don't know why you've been hanging with Preza; she's stealing from you!"

"What?! That's a lie!" Biena snapped.

"No, it's not! I just saw her going in your purse and Goldie's!" Bonnie said, now pointing at her. A bit concerned, Biena walked over to her purse and looked through it. She was so busy checking if anything was missing that she didn't notice the neatly folded up story. When Goldie came back, Biena and Bonnie explained what was happening. Goldie checked her purse too and both of them had money missing.

Distraught, all three walked over to Preza and asked her to step in the hallway.

"What's up?" Preza asked, now curious.

"I can tell you've been stealing from Biena and Goldie! Both me and Biena saw you just now with their purses!" Bonnie said.

"What?! I would never do that!" Preza gasped.

"Now hold on, let's do this calmly," Goldie tried.

"I saw you and so did Biena! If you were innocent, why did you have their purses?" Bonnie smirked.

"Because I had a surprise for them!" Preza said.

"HA! Nice cover up!" Bonnie laughed.

"Now hold on; there is no need to be mean!" Biena snapped.

"Preza, did you really steal?" Goldie asked gently.

"Of course not! I would never do that!" Preza said, now stepping back in shock.

"Then what happened to their money?!" Bonnie said, now poking Preza in the chest with her finger. Angry, Preza pushed her hand away and they could see her clenching her fists.

"I don't know but I didn't do it! You know what…never mind. I gotta go!" Preza said, now gathering up her items and leaving.

"Preza, hold on! Where are you going?" Goldie said, now gently grabbing her shoulder.

"I'm going to work. My classes are done for the day." Preza said, now gently removing her hand and looking at them sadly.

"Preza, this was just a misunderstanding. This shouldn't ruin anything! We will get to the bottom of this," Biena said, now walking up to her.

"Guys, I'm fine. I gotta go. See ya later," Preza said, now quickly walking away.

"Goldie, I have a feeling this will change our friendship with her," Biena said in worry.

"Me too. But we won't let it change anything! We will get to the bottom of this!"

In reality, Bonnie stole the money, but needed someone to blame before Goldie and Biena noticed the money missing. But no one knew this.

A few days later…

Preza was not very talkative around them and when it was time to have their sleepovers, she would decline because she would prefer to stay all alone in her house rather than go. They knew this was bad because Preza always said she loved their company, so they knew she was unhappy. But why wouldn't she talk to them?

"It's because Bonnie made her look bad. I'm not sure where our money went, but it couldn't have been Preza," Goldie said.

"And now she thinks we believe she's a thief so she doesn't want to be around us anymore," Biena replied.

"Who?" A voice asked. Both turned and saw Vamps sitting in the window. Whampire was on a mission, but he would stop by and check on the girls from time to time. After they explained, Vamps nodded.

"There is something fishy about that. No matter. We will find out what's going on. In the meantime, where is she?"

"At her house I think. We're heading there now." Goldie replied.

"Do you need my help?"

"No. Thank you for offering, but we need to settle this with her alone."

"No problem," Vamps responded. All three nodded and then went their separate ways.

Meanwhile…

Preza was cleaning the kitchen and forgot her oven was on! She burned her hand badly!

"GAH!" She gasped, now holding her hand. At the same time, she heard the door. Quickly, she ran and opened it and saw Goldie and Biena standing there, looking very concerned.

"Hey Preza. We…Preza! What happened to your hand?" Biena asked.

"Nothing. Just a burn," Preza replied.

"Let me see," Goldie said, now gently reaching out and taking her hand.

"It's okay, really!" Preza said, now trying to gently get her hand back, but Goldie kept a soft grip on it.

"Easy, Preza, let me see." Goldie insisted in a soft manner. They saw the very confused and almost hurt expression on her face. "Preza? What is it?"

"I'm just wondering why you guys came. I mean after the notes you left me…,"

"Notes? What notes?!" Biena asked. Preza reached in her apron pocket and pulled out numerous notes stating how she was a thief and how they were going to call the police on her!

"What?! Preza, we didn't write any of these!" Goldie said in shock, but Preza was too confused to hear her.

"Don't worry about it. I gotta head to work. I'll see y'all later." Preza said, now quickly grabbing her purse as she pulled her hand back, locking the house, and gently walking past them to get to her car.

"Now wait a minute! Hear us out!" Biena said.

"It's fine, we can talk later," Preza responded gently, now driving away.

"But we need to talk about it now," Goldie said sadly.

"What are we gonna do?! I smell a rat," Biena said angrily.

"We will get to the bottom of this!" Goldie said.

But for the next few days, they could tell that Preza stayed away from them and starting hanging out either with her other friends, the outcasts, or by herself. She would barely return their phone calls, texts, or messages through other websites.

"I can't stand this! We are going over there tonight to see what's going on?" Goldie said, now seeing Preza pass by. She looked like she was sweating and coughing. "Preza?"

"Yes," came the quiet response.

"Preza, are you sick?" Goldie asked. Not wanting to lie, Preza shook it off.

"I'm alright," Preza said, now walking off. But deep down she felt herself getting worse. She had the flu.

Goldie squared her shoulders and called Biena. She was not going to let Preza or her friendship get away that fast!
