Timo stared in absolute horror at the scene before him. There, Berwald held the upper portion of Eduard's body. A smear of blood left a trail from whence the body had first fallen. The Swede was calm, deadpan, ...his usual demeanor. Perhaps that was what Timo found so eerie. It was as if this was a normal, everyday occurrence.

He wasn't alone, however. Mathias' response was to grow wide-eyed and dumbfounded, as if this disturbance was akin to being caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Speechless. What could he say? How could one explain away such a horrid and obvious scene? No, Timo would be far too clever for that, even in his petrified state.

Lukas simply stood with his arms crossed, the soulless stare that was his piercing Timo accusingly...threateningly...daring him to speak. And beside him, sitting on his knees, was... Dear God, there sat Emil, the bloodiest of them all, wide-eyed himself and absent. He held himself up with one hand. In the other...the poor tattered remains of Mr. Puffin. The head had been snapped, obviously due to such brute force. There it was in the body, beak impaled within he that was once Eduard von Brock.

"Emil..." Timo's voice breathed out...trembled. "What...have you done?"

"Do not look so surprised," Lukas responded. Could it be? Had Mathias merely been a figurehead with the true darkness looming within them...being Lukas? No, not his quiet Lukas? Not the snide, snarky, yet still so loveable Norwegian.

"Lukas, how could you?!" Timo cried. "Why?! WHY?!"

"He was becoming a nuisance," Lukas replied flatly. "He knew too many of our secrets. The risk was too high. The fool had threatened to blackmail us, lest we offer him membership to our exclusive little club. We could not allow that...neither option. He had to go, Timo." He paused dramatically, "He had to go."

"He was...my friend," Timo stammered. "But, Emil... Why the boy, Lukas?! He's just a child! Why would you make him do this? Why would you torture him this way? Eduard...Mr. Puffin... Why did you do this?"

"Two birds with one stone," Lukas replied in that monotonous, wicked way that was uniquely his. "Mr. Puffin was a distraction... He muddled poor Emil's mind with his babbling. It couldn't be helped, Timo. You must have known that it would come to this, one day." A small smirk crossed that face...the face that had been known for being cold and conniving. "And what a proud day it is, Timo. You too should be as thrilled as I. This is a momentous occasion, after all."

He placed a hand upon the boy's shoulder. Emil was a bit jerky and disoriented. He was visibly trembling as he looked up at his elder sibling. Lukas simply twisted his smirk into something more frightening. Surely it was as if a demon had possessed him. "He is truly one of us now, Timo. Isn't that wonderful? My little Emil has finally become a man."
