Aaron and the Anvil
Chapter 1
New School
"Hello diary, today I had my birthday party," said Aaron as she wrote in her diary, but was soon interrupted by her mom, June, calling for her, saying "Aaron! Your friend, Jackie, is here, come say hi." "Okay mom!" Aaron said running down the stairs excitedly. Then after a few hours of talking to Jackie, Aaron's mom told them that Jackie had to go home for it was quite late, saddened by this Aaron decided to go to her room and read a bit to cheer herself up. Soon after that, she found herself having strange dreams about knights, magic and battles between good and evil. Then when she woke, she realized her mom was trying to wake her up so that she could get ready for her first day of school in the new town they had just moved to. Once she was ready and dressed she soon found herself running after the bus which fortunately for her stopped, so she could get on, but was soon tripped by a girl looked quite unfriendly. "Wow, what a great way to start the day!" she thought to herself, sarcastically. Once she was at school things started to look up, unfortunately not for the kid she saw, who was being shoved into a locker. Once she saw this, she walked over and said to the two guys that were laughing at the poor boy in the locker, "would you want to be treated this way?" she said pointing to the kid in the locker. Then they just looked at her and started to laugh at her too, "what are you going to do about It." said the taller one. "I bet you can't even run a mile!" said the shorter one, this made her very angry, and before they knew it, she punched the taller one in the face, knocking him out. The shorter boy was so scared that he just looked at her in fear, thinking that she might punch him too. After going to the nurse the taller boy stayed far away from her in hopes that she would not see him. Later that day she looked at her schedule and found that she had drama which she was really excited about, for the play was king Arthur and his knights of the round table, one of her favorite books. After a few classes, it was drama where everyone had to pick a piece of paper out of a hat. She was last to pick but she got the best character; King Arthur! She was so excited that she let out a little yelp of happiness. Everyone looked at her when she yelped which made her quite embarrassed and her face turned bright red. When she got home she told her parents, who were also very excited for her, about the play her character. She also told them about knocking the tall boy out, sending him to the nurse, they were both proud that she was stand for what's right but also quite upset. They told her to apologies but also tell him that it is not right to treat others in such a mean way. After dinner she decided to read a bit then go to bed for she was very tired. This time she had a dream where she was King Arthur and was riding a horse that was heading towards a strange and magical place called Avalon. She also saw a person who she presumed was merlin. Then she heard a noise that she knew was not in her dream, the noise was her mom screaming in pain.
