He couldn't believe his eyes. There on his front porch was his son. His own flesh and blood left there to be taken in by his father. He picked up his sons carrier and took him inside the house. Once he got him situated and comfortable in his playpen, Ricky read the note that was left for him.
Dear Ricky,
I know you are probably shocked right now at the situation. But I couldn't take it. I couldn't take the responsibility of raising a child. So I leave him with you. My parents are very disappointed in what I have done and I cant stand to look at their faces anymore. I have moved far away so I would never bother you and your son. Yes your son I gave up the rights to call him mine when I put him on your porch. My parents know where I am but they will not tell you. They want nothing to do with him now that I am gone. I know you will take good care of him because, you were a great father when I was here and you will be a great father when I am gone. You may go pick up all his things at my house. Even though you have most of it already. I will pray for you two everyday, I will think of you all the time. I know what I am doing is irresponsible, but I am a irresponsible person. I hope you will not hold this against me forever. I wish you two the best.
Love,
Amy
Ricky could not believe it he is a single father. He couldn't believe Amy had done this. He thought they were a team. He knew one thing for sure he will not abandon his son like Amy did.
