Star Crossed Lovers: Part I

Star Crossed Lovers: Part I

"Pidge, pidge"

Ash sat on a wall outside Cerulean Pokecentre waiting for his cousin Tracey to finish. Some Pidgey were pecking the ground nearby and their call was relaxing him while he slumped deeper into meaningless thoughts. Suddenly, the door of the centre opened and a flustered young woman with orange hair and deep teal eyes swept out followed by a rather dumbstruck Tracey. She caught the eye of Ash who watched her saunter off with great but subtle awe. His glance then fell on Tracey who was busy putting something in his backpack.

"You took your time" Ash stood.

"Yeah, was a bit, distracted." The pair walked off until they reached the pokemart, which was where they split up. Brock stopped and leant against a tree so he could wait for his brothers to arrive. Ash left for Sycamore Grove, a place near the beach where he often went to be alone.

As Tracey's brothers' blue BMW pulled up alongside the mart, another car sped round the corner. A red Porsche Boxter - the car of the Ketchum's one hated enemy; Gary Waterflower. The car screeched to a halt directly in front of the blue car. The driver door opened and a Spike-spurred boot landed on the ground beside the car. This boot was followed by the rest of Gary Waterflower, nephew of Sir Waterflower, one of the two richest men in Kanto. The other richest man was Sir Ketchum, father of Ash. The families had been feuding since the adolescence of Ash's great, great grandfather.

On spotting Tracey, Gary spat at the ground and turned away. As he turned, Aoko, Traceys brother spat back. A large globule of saliva landed on the ground between Gary's feet. Gary turned back around and drew a gun from the holster hidden under his jacket. The scream of the single bullet tore at the air for miles around. A brawl broke out.

The third brawl in two months. The court of justice ruled that if a further disturbance of the peace arose, the man at fault would be banished.

While all this was going on, Ash sat under the stone arch of Sycamore Grove. He had heard the bullet, but hadn't thought anything of it. That girl, * I must see her again *

Two hours later, Tracey appeared in the car with a patch on his chest.

"What happened to you? Not another brawl? Ack, I don't understand why you cant just leave each other ALONE!" Ash stood up and walked towards the beach.

"Yo! Ash!" A holler came from behind him. He turned to see Brock, his best friend, approaching them. "What bothers you friend?"

"Huh? Oh nothing."

"Well forget all your worries. For tonight, We party!"

"What party?"

"Well, theres a party at the big Waterflower place and I got us some invitations!"

"Something to do I suppose…well we can meet at the carnival ok? I'm going home for a while. Later "And with that Ash sauntered off into the distance.

A/N:

Ok, granted it's a short chapter but I haven't written in a while and it's the first chapter so it was awkward to write. The next one will be MUCH better. Can you see my storyline? Where do u think I'm getting my inspiration from? If anyone knows, let me know coz I wanna see if you can tell. Im going now to put on some moisturiser to stop my suntan peeling. See you next chapter!
