In a dark, cold room, Russia sat alone crunched up to a corner. This was the room he usually were inside whenever Belarus were after him, trying to force him into marriage.
Why is she like that?
Russia wasn't sure why he was inside this room; it has been a long time since he last saw Belarus. It was not only her he hasn't seen for a long time. He haven't seen Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia or Ukraine either. Where were they? Russia really missed them. They used to be a union and one after another left him alone, all alone. He was used to be alone, but he didn't want that. In his younger days he remembered how scary it was to be this big growing nation that everyone chased. When he came home to this cold, small house of his, he had his big sister who would kiss and hug away the pain. He loved his big sister Ukraine so much; she was the only caring family member he had. Why wasn't she here? Russia longed after the loving comforting warmth from another.
Big sister…..
With the Baltics gone, who should he then be with? Russia never knew what he did to them, but he knew that he did something. For one moment Lithuania looked so fine and healthy, then it all went black, and suddenly Lithuania looked sick and all wounded. Latvia never grew taller, it seemed like he grew shorter every time Russia saw him. Russia wasn't sure about how it was with Estonia, he wasn't often around Russia. They never liked being around him, no one ever did.
All gone…
Everybody hated Russia. Why did they hate him? All Russia wanted was some friends. What did he do wrong? Could it be that he didn't deserve to have any friends? Could you live without any friends? Russia's heart urged for love and compassion. He didn't need love from many; just a simple touch from one of his people would be more than enough.
Love…
Being Russia was really hard at times. The people were arguing, fighting wars, rarely agreeing. Russia has tried so hard to make it work, but the people never got along and they ended up hating him. Russia gunned down his own people. As he looks at his hands he can still see the blood of the victims. The blood was available to be cleaned of, if only the hole in his heart could be that easy to get rid of…
Cold, wars, hate. Russia had to live with those things, but one day he will make it all different.
"Yo, Russia, what are you doing in here dude?" America suddenly appeared, turning on the lights in the room.
Still pained by the past, Russia plastered a big smile on his face as he approached America.
"Russia will make the world better, da?" He said to America while caressing his cheek.
The smile was no near real, but one day it will be.
