Mom
Buffy woke up bright and early on this sunday morning. She ran downstairs and took out some eggs and bacon. No vampires to slay tonight, its a day for my mom. So she began to cook. The food was smelling so good it had woke Dawn up. She ran downstairs.
"Hey," Dawn said.
"Hey," Buffy said smiling to her.
"What's with the big breakfast?" Dawn asked.
"It's for mom," Buffy said. "We do it every year,"
"Buffy," Dawn said. "Moms dead."
Memories flushed into her mind. Her mom laying on the couch. Her trying to give her C.P.R. nothing worked. The funeral. She dropped the pan on the floor.
"Ididnt mean to!" Buffy cried. "I though...I thought. Mom!"
Dawn took her sister in her arms. "It's going to be ok,"
"It isnt!" Buffy screamed. "We cook for mom every mother's day and now she's gone."
She laid their for awhile. Hurt. Her mother was gone.Forever.
Later that night she went to the cemetery. She sat out a few roses.
"Mom," she began. "I wish you were here. I really do. I miss you so munch. I just wish you were here so I could hug you and tell you about everything thats been happening. I'eve been protecting Dawn like you asked me too. I have been with all my heart. I really wish you were here for me to protect. I wish I was there for you when you died and I feel like a failure. I wish Riley was here too. I shouldnt have let him go. But of course I was to pig headed to realize that he was the one for me. You know what? Today I woke up and made you breakfast. And you werent there. And I cried about it. But I felt that you were their with me in spirit so I felt a little better. I just want you to know that I love you so munch and will always keep you with me in my heart."
She turned to walk away. "Always."
"I figured you would be here." a voice said.
She turned around. "Angel,"
She hugged him. He gazed into her eyes. "I missed you," Angel said.
"I missed you too," Buffy said.
"Is everything ok?" He asked.
"It is now," she said.
"I wish," Angel said. "That you didnt have to go through this."
"So do I," Buffy said. "I wish I went first."
"No you dont," Angel said. "You know that would hurt worst for her that her dieing. She is a mom and she would have died for you."
"Yeah," Buffy said. "Do you ever think about your mom?"
"Everyday," Angel said. "I think about when I killed her."
"That wasnt you," Buffy said.
"But I remeber," Angel said. "And those memories never go away."
"Angel..." Buffy began. "I should go."
"Yeah," Angel said "So should I"
They looked at each other. And they kissed.
