Osomatsu wouldn't say he's that great of a person. Because he's really not. What with his gambling addiction, the way he picks on his younger brothers, and his gross sex problem.

He also wouldn't go far as to say he's that much of a religious person.

But, he sometimes has to thank God for making him the oldest. For making him the closest to Karamatsu.

Especially in times like this. When Karamatsu's had enough of being treated like shit by their brothers. Of being treated like shit by Ichimatsu, even more.

Osomatsu knows Karamatsu loves Ichinatsu more than their other younger brothers (not that he'll ever admit it). Knows he would go through heaven and hell for him.

But...

There's one thing Osomatsu knows, too. He knows Karamatsu couldn't love Ichimatsu like that. The way he loves Osomatsu.

It's what especially pisses and depresses Ichimatsu the most. Knowing he can't have what his oldest brother has. It's what makes him act that way towards Karamatsu.

And, Karamatsu, painfully oblivious and sweet, won't ever know. Because Ichimatsu is too scared to actually talk about his feelings and because Osomatsu won't let him.

Karamatsu is the only good thing in this world, and Osomatsu knows it. Ichimatsu knows it.

It's what makes Osomatsu's heart hurt. How he lets Karamatsu be harassed and threatened but it's also what builds them up. Makes them stronger.

Sometimes, though, Ichimatsu goes too far.

The eldest Matsuno remembers when Ichimatsu witnessed the two of them.

How his eyes glazed over at seeing the object of his love in the arms of his shitty eldest brother.

Ichinatsu's eyes remained on Karamatsu's back. Watched how he clung onto Osomatsu, sobbing.

"Why doesn't he love me? Why does he hurt me so? Does he really despise me so much he wishes I we're dead?"

Osomatsu could never get the face of his younger brother out of his head when he witnessed Osomatsu kiss Karamatsu on the lips.

He doesn't want to.

Sometimes, Ichimatsu goes too far. Like now.

It's late, presumably midnight. And Osomatsu has Karamatsu sobbing onto his matching pajama set.

He's blubbering and it's heart wrenching. Osomatsu would do anything to make sure he never cries again.

He tells Karamatsu so.

"Like when we we're kids," Osomatsu says, grinning and rubbing his finger under his nose.

"I'd protect you from harm and you'd be by my side."

Karamatsu stops and stares, with wide blue eyes. Osomatsu's heart stops.

Then Karamatsu grins, and hugs him to his chest.

"Oh Osomatsu! How I love you so! You make my heart go a thousand miles a second!"

Osomatsu smiles back softly, holding onto Karamatsu. He'd pretend not to notice the glare that's piercing through him.

Too caught up in his brother's embrace. Too happy to care. Too in love with his younger brother.
