Clean Cutting

Frankly, Terri was bored. She'd been up for slumming it a little, not dredging for lowlifes.

"He's looking this way again," squealed Fay, already three margaritas and four sheets to the wind.

Terri peered disdainfully at the object of her friend's attention. "Please, with that red, plaid shirt and... how long do you think he brushed his hair to get that parting? No, he's too clean cut for me," she laughed.

He must have heard because their gaze locked and she quickly looked away, shivering.

There was something razor-sharp behind those eyes, and she didn't intend to find out what.
