The world was once a dream. It was the most beautiful of all, not a blemish in sight as creatures walked through it's green lands with no care in the world. He had gone from the king of his dream to the broken reality that had so harshly separated the prince from his handsome king. Whispers of gentle words carries through his ears, interrupted by careless beeps of whatever machine was next to him. "Will." The name was distorted and he so desperately grasped the hand of the one he was with.

"Will." It was getting louder and his king was fading away, fading so rapidly and he let out cries for him to stop fading, begging for him not to leave. All he received was a translucent smile and words of tender love. "Will." The voice was panicked, as if it didn't recognise the vague screams of his king's name that came from his mouth, screams he was definitely aware of.

Soon enough, his eyes snapped open and he looked at those in the room. Annabeth and Percy stood with Austin and Kayla, watching over him with gentle eyes. "Will." He heard Kayla say, voice thick with emotion. Will Solace looked at her with glassy eyes. "Where's Nico?" The words gained him confused looks, as if they had never met the other demigod in their lives. "Nico Di Angelo? He's... He's a son of Hades..." He seemed desperate as he attempted to grasp onto the fleeting memories of a blurring face.

"Will, there hasn't been a child of Hades since the 1940s." Those words caused nausea to rise in him, shaking him to the core. "You were just dreaming, since you were in a coma, and fabricated an imaginary friend to keep you company..." It was at those words that he did throw up, leaning over the edge of the bed and letting out dry sobs.

I sogni sono belli
Dreams are beautiful
Ma niente oro può rimanere
But nothing gold can stay
