-What She Needs-
Ian saw the way Amy looked at Evan.
She was absolutely in love with him. And he hated that. He hated that because it should be him making her laugh. It should be him who's holding her hand. It should be him hearing Amy say "I love you." But he knows what Amy needs. She doesn't need someone making her laugh. She doesn't need someone to hold her hand. What she needs is someone who tells it to her straight. Someone who shouts at her if she deserves it. Someone who tells her the truth even if it will hurt her like hell. She needs someone who's sometimes cold. Someone who will make her strive to be better, faster, and stronger. And in Ian's book, what Amy needs, will always be more important than what he wants.
