Ode to Zelda

From Ordon to the Tower's heights, you fight
The evils spawning endlessly
Against the light.
A humble goatherd's victory
Horse rearing, sword aloft atop the sight
Of Hyrule's plight, as greets the gamer with
Pulsing letters—"push start"
And Malo Mart….
At least the Hero has someone to journey with.

You fly between two worlds
On crimson wings unfurled
Dancing spirit sword Fi
Across your green-clad back. New-fangled
Controls and remote, awkwardly
Unadept to angle
Until they're conquered with time and tries.
And in the end, as is the norm, you get the girl
This time a maiden of the skies.

Kokiri forest to the Bridge of Eldin
A twilit wolf or man
Or masked Zora-clan
The wind moves by your flick and fills your sail
Across the cartoon crests. You slip and fail
In lava pits. Death Mountain
Trail. Least favorite part:
The graphic scream
As Link falls into magma stream.
When game and gamer part
The plot remains close to the heart.
The fans all think
There's Zelda, Midna, and Navi; but there's only one
Legend: Link.

AN: I wrote this for an English project. It's supposed to be iambic, but it really isn't. For the record, I'm not a poet, and I don't write poetry. And if the way you pronounce Fi rhymes with pie, then you missed a rhyme, or else that line would have rhymed with "awkwardly". It's been a while since I've posted, and I'd like to know what you guys think, so please review!
