This wasn't getting any easier. Steph tilted her frosty pale face left and right, her silvery eyes stuck on the mirror in front of her, but seeing nothing. Once the vampire 'curse' had been so sweetly bestowed upon her by her beloved, she's come to realize that immortality isn't really what it's cracked up to be.
Steph no longer could just be sustained by marshmallows on late nights, not could she go sunbathing with her sister Lizzie (although, she had to admit; that was a good thing!). She could no longer do things normal people could. Like looking in a damned mirror.
Now, all she had to rely on to do make up or her hair was Liz, and god knows how THAT would turn out. Perhaps Kate could help when their sister got too…. Lizzie-like, but there was only so much the army-clad witch could do, and they all knew it.
In utter frustration, the 13 year old tossed her comb at the mirror, which caused it to shatter. The shards fell and caught the light like raindrops as they rushed to hug their new friend, the floor, all the while sounding like little metal wind chimes. Suddenly, she felt familiar arms pull at her waist. No matter what, she turned around quickly to double check it was whom she thought it was, and not like, a giant purple blob with sickly green tattered wings, a boar head and the feet of a penguin. You never know.
But no, it was Rory, the blonde haired, blue eyed dweeb Steph so lovingly calls 'boyfriend'. "Hey Snuggle-Muffins!" The blonde boy cooed. In response, Steph naturally pecked his lips with her own, and she felt her anger just release like steam.
After they pulled away, they just stared into each other's eyes, both having things to say, but not having the inspiration to say them. Or the need to really.
Suddenly, Steph tilted her head and gazed a tad more intently into the boy's eyes. After a tense, 'wtf?' filled moment, she burst into laughter and hugged Rory tightly.
"Um…?" He started to ask, but the sunshine girl didn't dare elaborate. She had seen herself in his eyes. And really…? That was all the reflection she needed.
