(A/N): I wrote this story for one of my best friends, Nikki, for her birthday. I decided to upload it here to share it with you all. Hope you like it as much as she did. Also, this is the first one-shot I have ever written.

Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot.

Blinking blearily as she tried to stay awake, the young woman sat in a plush armchair near the fading embers of the small fire in the fireplace of the Hufflepuff common room. She tapped the end of her quill on the parchment on her lap as she read form the book resting perilously on the arm of her chair, her face screwed up in concentration as she tried to make out the words on the page.

"What? What the hell's a Zebu?" She muttered confusedly, shaking her head lightly. "Damn potions…I knew I shouldn't have left it this long." Her determined gaze ghosted over the words on first the pages in the book, and then her own words. "Ugh." She groaned, letting her neck fall to her chest, massaging the back of her neck with her hand. She shot a sharp glare at the clock on the table next to her chair and sighed at the time she read there. "12:30?" She grumbled, silently cursing Slughorn for assigning the essay in the first place. She worked for a while longer, and confident that she would get at least a passing grade, packed up her books, slid them into her bag and sitting back on the couch next to her chair, which was closer to her bag, wishing the headache that had formed in her head would leave her at once. She jumped as the Portrait hole banged open, her neck jolting as it few from its place dangling over the side of the bed, only to see Teddy Lupin and his gang of friends.

"Hey guys." I called as they rushed through, laughing their stupid asses off.

"Hey Nik, what you doing, waiting up for your boyfriend?" I lifted my head to glare at him, but it was half-hearted with my tiredness.

"Leave us alone guys." Teddy growled as they sprinted up the stairs to the boys dormitory, sitting on the couch next to me himself.

"If they keep making fun of us I'm going to slap them." I warned him, earning a chuckle.

"I'd bet you'd kick their asses." I smiled tiredly, turning my head to look at him, a kind smile on his face as well.

"Damn right." I said with a yawn, my eyes growing heavy as sleep tried to overcome me.

"Come here." Teddy murmured, opening his arms wide enough for me to crawl into. "Go to sleep." I nodded slowly into his chest as I yawned again, a sleepy smile on my face as I drifted into unconsciousness. The next morning I woke in his arms, a happy smile on his sleeping face and my recently awakened one, surrounded by a sea of Hufflepuff students all looking at us. So, I did the only thing I could do, I raised my index finger to my lips and snuggled back into his chest, quickly falling asleep again.

(A/N): Keep watch for the drabble I made for my other best friend, Sarah.
