"GREGG!" Mae shouted as she chased after that sly fox, almost tripping over a rock that had rolled out of place, caused by Gregg zipping past.
"I ain't stopping for nobody!"
Mae heard her name being called by a deep voice from the direction to her left. She looked over and saw Angus waving at her from the bridge. She smiled and waved back, and completely forgot she was still running. Mae snapped back to reality and turned to face the path in front of her. There was a huge hole in the ground that was getting closer very fast. She tried stopping herself, but skid against the ground by doing so.
"SHIT!" was the last thing she said before she slipped over the edge.
