One shot time. I am writing this because, as most people don't know I suffer severe insomnia. And as of late I've not been able to sleep. Also please forgive if the spelling and grammar is a bit off. I haven't slept in well over 24 hours at the time I am writing this. This is called Slumber. ONTO THE STORY! (As a side note this takes place after Night falls upon the forest so it will be referencing events that haven't happened yet."
Renwood's eyes bolted open. He sighed. "I'm never going to get to sleep at this rate…" He muttered to him self. He got up and walked down the stairs. He looked around the living room. He sighed. Thinking it was so quiet without Ditzy in the house. He walked into Ditzy's room to admire the craftsmanship of him and Big MacIntosh. He looked at the picture frame hanging on the wall of the room. It was a portrait of him, Ditzy, and Gear, Renwood's brother. He was still sad that he had died. But he had come into acceptance with it. He touched the picture before exiting the room and heading to the bookshelf in the living room. He looked closely at it trying to find a particular book. He found it. The Brothers Grimm fairy tale book. His brother had read it to him every time he had trouble sleeping as a child. He opened it to the page he had marked as his favourite. "The Brother and Sister" it was called. He opened to it as was marked by the sticky note. He was about to start reading it when a noise startled him. It turned out to be Fluttershy coming down stairs. "Ren… What are you doing up?" She asked sleepily. "Oh I couldn't sleep…" Was his response. She looked at him with concern. "Don't worry, it wasn't nightmares. Just my pesky insomnia. Go back to bed." She sighed before kissing him on the cheek and nodding. He opened the book and read. After he had finished reading the story he was a bit more tired. He decided to try his hoof at sleeping once more. He laid back down under the covers next to the familiar warmth of Fluttershy. "I see you decided to join me…" He heard her say quietly before putting her forelegs around him. "And just so you know… I'll stay up with you as long as you are awake." His mind flashed back to the whole ordeal when she stayed up all night with Twilight Sparkle last winter. "No Fluttershy, don't you remember last winter?"
"Oh yeah…" She responded with disappointment. "Don't worry Shy. I will get to sleep just fine." He said in an assuring tone. After that Fluttershy fell asleep shortly followed by Renwood.
Okay just something short. Here's hoping I get some sleep tonight. I really hate my insomnia. Well don't forget to review. Also question of the story. What do you do when you can't sleep?
