Walking Away
-Midnight Shades
AN: Not much to say. I'm not very good at writing, so you'll have to forgive the lack of quality you'll find. I do not own any part of Naruto as it belongs to Kishimoto-san. Kinda not with the timeline. Set a little after the Sasuke Arc. Thank you.
Sakura was a smart girl. It was true that she liked to take part in idle things such as shopping for miscellaneous items and such, but she was no fool. She noticed how Sasuke was becoming slightly more tangible, slowly letting more expressions and words slip from his usual stoic being. Or it could be that he always was like that. Having a wider range of expressions than Naruto himself, but just more subtle, just a little less noticeable. She watched as three of them became more of an us rather than just Team Kakashi. It really didn't surprise her much when he went to Orochimaru, seeking the power that they all knew the Snake Sanin would surely supply. That didn't stop her from trying to stop him, despite knowing that her attempts would most likely fail, it was too much to see the one she had always watched, the one she always admired walk away, like Konoha was nothing more than a place he was visiting for a few years. As much as knowing he could walk away from Konoha without a second thought hurt her so much.
But only because she knew that it meant that he didn't care for her too.
