Shadowrend here! I've decided to write this story, Feral, because frankly I have become disappointed with the amount of response I am getting for How Would you Feel. This is the background for the new story, Feral. I will post another chapter after 5 reveiws. Enjoy!

The Pak is the pinnacle of Irken technology, capable of producing mechanical arms known as Spider legs, communication devices, and equipment necessary to the survival of an Irken. This is what Irkens believe their Paks are for. After all, they had no reason to assume that the Tallest had lied to them.
Yes, the true purpose of the Pak was a secret passed on to each and every Tallest by the former Tallest. If Irkens knew the secret of the Pak, panic and hysteria would follow for all involved.
It was a common known fact that Irken race was predatory. Their bloodlust was genetic, not taught. If the Pak had never been created, the Irkens would not have nearly the amount of technology they had today.
The Pak tamed the Irken race in a way. It forced chemicals that altered the Irkens mind and body in drastic ways. The Pak originally was designed as a failsafe, but after seeing the effect of a "Paked" Irken, Paks became a commonplace among the Irken society.
However, the Pak was not flawless. Far from it, in fact, because the Irken body was not designed for limitation; it was meant to grow, as all bodies are. Because of this, Irken's Paks were monitored by the Control Brain, who had to send encrypted messages to an Irken's Pak in order to function the GLD, or "Growth Limitation Device."
Defective Irken's Paks were not monitored, and all the nutrients long denied to the Irkens flooded their bodies, resulting in huge growth spurts, elongated fangs, claws, and the need to hunt. This drove most Irkens to death, for only the truly maniacal could begin to control their new body.
As we all know, Irken Invader Zim WAS truly maniacal.
